UCEED Seat Allotment 2026 - Overview

• Five rounds of seat allotment will be conducted with the first commencing on April 21, 2026 with the fifth and last allotment being conducted on July 3, 2026.
• UCEED seat allotment registration dates were from March 14 to April 10, 2026.
• The UCEED 2026 Joint Seat Allocation process is conducted under the supervision of IIT Bombay.
• Selected candidates will be sent provisional allotment letters via their registered email.
• Candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 60,000 (Rupees Sixty Thousand only) for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL and Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for SC/ST/PwD.
• The total number of seats available in IITs through UCEED are 245.
• Successful candidates of UCEED 2025 will be awarded BDes seats at esteemed institutions such as IIT Guwahati, IT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIITDM Jabalpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Indore and IIT Hyderabad.

IIT Bombay announced the UCEED seat allotment 2026 dates on the official brochure launched on October 1, 2025. The UCEED seat allocation process consists of five rounds. Following each round of UCEED 2026 seat allotment, candidates are required to decide whether to accept the admission offer or continue to the next round. During the UCEED 2026 seat allotment rounds, the candidates have the select options to float, freeze, or decline. Also, the shortlisted candidates will receive the UCEED provisional seat allotment letters to their registered email from the concerned authority. • Login using the email id and password.

• Upon successful login, details on the allotted UCEED participating institute will be displayed on the screen.

What after UCEED 2026 seat allotment result declaration?

Once the authorities declare the UCEED 2026 seat allotment result, candidates will have to select any one of the following:

• Float: Keep the allotted seat and wish for an upgrade.

• Freeze: Satisfied with the allotment and don’t want to participate in further rounds.

• Withdraw: Accepted the seat but wish to withdraw before the final round.

After selecting any of the options mentioned above as per their preference, candidates will have to pay the UCEED 2026 seat acceptance fee before the last date.

UCEED Seat Allotment 2026: Important Instructions

• If a candidate fails to seat acceptance fee before the deadline or decline the admission, their application will stand cancelled. Moreover, such students will not be considered for further rounds of the UCEED seat allotment process.

• If applicants are allotted their first choice of institute, they can either ACCEPT (‘freeze’) the offer or DECLINE it. If they choose to DECLINE the offer, they will not be considered for subsequent rounds, and their current seat allocation shall be cancelled.

• In cases of ACCEPT/FLOAT/FREEZE, the candidates will have to pay the complete amount of the UCEED seat acceptance fee mentioned in the provisional seat allotment letter.

• For candidates who accept the offered seat, the seat acceptance fee will be adjusted against the institute fees of the admitting institute at the time of joining. For candidates who decline the offered seat after remitting the seat acceptance fee, the refund of the seat acceptance fee will be governed by the policies of the admitting institute.
