• Age limit: Candidates belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category should have been born on or after October 1, 2001 and candidates belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category should have been born on or after October 1, 1996.
• UCEED Qualification: A valid UCEED score or rank is required for candidates.
• Qualifying examination: To be eligible, the candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2025 or 2026 for attempting UCEED 2026. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2024 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2026.

• Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects are eligible to apply to all five participating institutes for BDes courses in IIT that are: IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur.
• Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to Bachelor of Design IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.
• For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology at 10+2 can apply. Students from Arts or Humanities at 10+2 cannot apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur.
