Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria so as not to face any rejection in the application form. NMIMS DAT eligibility criteria 2026 consist of the NMIMS DAT exam age limit, exam qualification, and more.

NMIMS DAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria Details

  • The candidate must have passed 12th grade or an equivalent examination with any stream.
  • Candidates must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised board.
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (I.B. certificate & D.P. awarded candidates) holders are eligible if they have cleared the I.B. exam with a total of 24 credits and passed 3 High Level (H.L) & 3 Standard Level (S.L) mandatorily.
  • Candidates who have appeared and cleared the UCEED entrance exam are exempted from appearing for DAT. However, such candidates must appear for the personal interview round and present their portfolio.
  • Candidates of CBSE and ICSE should mention in the online registration (if selected) 10+2 or equivalent aggregate marks of all the subjects for which the candidate will take & appear (not best of four, five, six, or seven). The candidate shall have passed all the subjects taken & appeared for in the applicable examinations.
  • If the mark sheet issued by the applicable board is in the percentile, the actual aggregate percentage of all the subjects that appeared for the candidate will be taken into consideration.
  • The NMIMS DAT age limit is 25 years. Candidates more than 25 years of age are not eligible to apply.
  • For IB & Cambridge candidates selected based on the merit list who do not have their 10+2 or equivalent examination mark sheets, will be given provisional admission based on predicted scores. The candidate’s admission will be confirmed after the submission of the final mark sheet before the commencement of the programme.
  • Candidates who have completed their 10+2 from overseas universities have to submit an AIU equivalence certificate to confirm eligibility for the programme.
  • Those candidates who have passed or appeared for the 10+2 examination from a board/university where grade point average is given must produce in writing from the board/university concerned the equivalent percentage for the GPA/CGPA obtained.
  • If at the time of admission, the candidate’s final mark sheet is not available, they are required to upload an internet copy/DG Locker of the result, duly attested by the principal of the school/college.
  • A compartmentalized mark sheet will not be considered. Only a single mark sheet with all compulsory subjects opted and passed will be considered.
  • The candidate will not be eligible if any subject is marked as ungraded/failed in the mark sheet/grade sheet.
  • Candidates appearing for their final 12th grade or equivalent are required to have a minimum cut-off marks.

The institute will open the NMIMS DAT 2026 application form online tentatively in December 2025 on the official website - ndat.nmi ms.edu. The institute will open the application form in two phases. Interested candidates must make sure they fulfil the NMIMS DAT eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. To complete the NMIMS DAT registration, students should pay a non-refundable amount of Rs. 2000 for the registration fee.
