FDDI AIST 2027 application form will open tentatively in January 2027. Candidates who wish to apply for FDDI admission should complete the online registration form before the last date. Candidates must follow all the guidelines and submit the documents by paying the prescribed fee through credit cards, debit cards, or internet banking.

Candidates seeking admission for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes need to meet the prescribed eligibility requirements of FDDI AIST. For B.Des programme:

Candidates who are interested in undergraduate programmes such as B.Des need to meet the following criteria

• Age limit: Candidates should have an age limit of 25 years as on July 1, 2027 (admission year). 

• Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must pass 10+2 in any discipline from any recognised board. 

  • Candidates who clear 10+2 from a recognised board or university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. 

  • Candidates must pass a minimum five subjects in School Examination conducted by National Open School.

  • Candidates who completed their 3 years diploma approved by AICTE after Class X from a State or Union Territory Board of Technical Education.

For M.Des programmes 

Candidates aspiring to get seat in postgraduate programmes like M.Des in Footwear Design & Production and M.Des in fashion design must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

• M.Des in Fashion Design: Students who have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized Institute or University in India.  
• M.Des in Footwear Design & Production: Students who passed the bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university or institute in India. A bridge programme comprising of two to three relevant subjects may be offered alongside the M.Des for students without a design background.

Age limit: There is no limit specified by the authorities for post-graduation courses.

As per the FDDI AIST exam pattern, FDDI AIST is a paper-based test conducted for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The FDDI AIST exam pattern has the following sections, including various topics such as Analytical Ability, Design Aptitude Test, General Awareness, Comprehension, Grammar, Usage and Business Aptitude Test. The FDDI AIST exam will assess the candidate's aptitude, knowledge, and skills related to design. 

There are four sections in FDDI AIST syllabus for B.Des. However, if a candidate is applying for both B.Des and BBA then such candidates have to attempt a fifth section on Business Aptitude. However, this section will be evaluated only for BBA admissions and not for B.Des admissions.

FDDI AIST 2027 Exam Pattern for M.Des

Preparing for the FDDI AIST (Footwear Design & Development Institute All India Selection Test) requires focused effort and strategic planning. Here are some essential tips to help to crack the exam:

• Candidates must familiarise themselves with the exam pattern and syllabus. With the help of exam pattern, candidates can know the sections, number of questions, and marking scheme to plan for the exam preparation accordingly.
• Create a study schedule that allocates sufficient time for each subject and balance the study session to cover all topics. 
• Focus on basics in each section like analytical ability, verbal ability, Comprehension, grammar, general awareness, current affairs, design aptitude and business Aptitude. Review basic concepts and practice problems regularly.
• Practice previous years' question papers and mock tests tounderstand the progress and identify areas needing improvement. This helps in familiarising with the exam format and enhances time management skills.
• General Awareness is crucial. Stay updated with current events, especially those related to the footwear, design, and fashion industries. Follow news, read magazines, and watch relevant documentaries.
• During practice sessions, work on improving your speed and accuracy. Learn to prioritise questions and manage time effectively during the exam.
• Plan regular revision sessions by making concise notes for quick revision closer to the exam date.

• Take proper rest, nutrition, and exercise to keep mind and body in optimal condition for peak performance.

The institute will issue the FDDI AIST 2027 admit card tentatively a week before the exam. Registered candidates can download the admit card through their login.  All registered candidates will receive an email notification to download their admit cards online. The admit card is a compulsory document to appear for the exam. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card on the exam day.

The FDDI AIST result will be tentatively declared in June 2027. Candidates can check the FDDI AIST result through their login. Shortlisted candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

The FDDI AIST 2027 counselling will be conducted tentatively in June 2027. Candidates who qualify in the FDDI exam will be listed on the merit list and need to participate in the online counselling process 

Candidates may be required to indicate their preferences for courses and campuses offered by FDDI which they must do carefully. The seat allotment will be done as per the candidate's rank and the college prefrences. Candidates who participate and confirm their seat need to pay the fees before the specified date.
