FDDI AIST Exam 2025: Round 2nd Seat Allotment Out, Counselling (Ongoing), Admission Process

The Round 2 seat allotment result for FDDI admission 2025 has been declared on July 17. Earlier, the authority has released the FDDI seat allotment for Round 1 on July 4. Candidates who qualified in the FDDI exam are listed on the merit list and need to participate in the online counselling process that began on June 17, 2025. The last date to submit the choice filling and counselling fee submission was July 1, 2025. A candidate's rank is determined based on the marks secured by the candidate. Candidates may be required to indicate their preferences for courses and campuses offered by FDDI.

Candidates who participate and confirm their seat need to pay the fees before the specified date, July 15, 2025. The FDDI counselling and admission process will continue until all available seats are filled.

For B.Des programme:

Candidates who are interested in undergraduate programmes such as B.Des need to meet the following criteria

• Age limit: Candidates should have an age limit of 25 years as on July 1, 2025 (admission year). 

• Educational Qualification:

  •  Candidates must pass 10+2 in any discipline from any recognised board. 

  • Candidates who clear 10+2 from a recognised board or university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. 

  • Candidates must pass a minimum five subjects in School Examination conducted by National Open School.

  • Candidates who completed their 3 years diploma approved by AICTE after Class X from a State or Union Territory Board of Technical Education.

For M.Des programmes 

Candidates aspiring to get seat in postgraduate programmes like M.Des in Footwear Design & Production and M.Des in fashion design must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

• M.Des in Fashion Design: Students who have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized Institute or University in India.  
• M.Des in Footwear Design & Production: Students who passed the bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university or institute in India. A bridge programme comprising of two to three relevant subjects may be offered alongside the M.Des for students without a design background.

Age limit: There is no limit specified by the authorities for post-graduation courses.

FDDI AIST 2025 application form was available to the students from November 15, 2025 at fddiindia.com. FDDI AIST registration last date was till May 7, 2025. Candidates who wish to apply for FDDI admission could complete the online registration form as per the guidelines and submit the documents by paying the prescribed fee through credit cards, debit cards, or internet banking.

• Registered candidates need to login with credentials sent on registered mail id at fddiadmissions.qualcampus.com. 
• A new page will be displayed by showing the FDDI AIST application form.

• Upload the signature and photograph in specified format.
• Pay the application fee via debit /credit card. 
• Take the print out of the FDDI application form for further reference. 

FDDI AIST is a paper-based test conducted for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The FDDI AIST exam pattern has the following sections, including various topics such as Analytical Ability, Design Aptitude Test, General Awareness, Comprehension, Grammar, Usage and Business Aptitude Test. The FDDI AIST exam will assess the candidate's aptitude, knowledge, and skills related to design. 

 There are four sections in FDDI AIST syllabus for B.Des. However, if a candidate is applying for both B.Des and BBA then such candidates have to attempt a fifth section on Business Aptitude. However, this section will be evaluated only for BBA admissions and not for B.Des admissions.

Preparing for the FDDI AIST (Footwear Design & Development Institute All India Selection Test) requires focused effort and strategic planning. Here are some essential tips to help to crack the exam:

• Candidates must familiarise themselves with the exam pattern and syllabus. With the help of exam pattern, candidates can know the sections, number of questions, and marking scheme to plan for the exam preparation accordingly.

Footwear Design and Development Institute issued the AIST 2025 admit card for affected candidates on May 23. Only those who complete this reselection process received their FDDI AIST exam hall tickets. To download the FDDI AIST hall ticket, candidates had to use their generated credentials, the username and password. The FDDI AIST 2025 admit card is important for candidates as it serves as the entry ticket to the examination hall. 

How to Download the FDDI AIST 2025 Admit Card

• Visit the official website, fddiindia.com, or fddiadmissions.qualcampus.com.
• Navigate to the Admit Card Section: Look for the link named 'AIST 2025 Admit Card' on the homepage 
• Login: Enter the login credentials, such as user name and password.
• Download and Print: Once logged in, candidates will find a link to download the admit card. Download and take a clear printout of the admit card.

NOTE: Students who registered for the AIST 2025 exam originally set for May 11, 2025, at Jammu, Jodhpur, or Chandigarh must bring their original admit card to take the rescheduled test on May 25, 2025, at the same center. No new admit cards were issued for these candidates.
