FDDI AIST 2026 application form has been opened on January 1, 2026 at fddiindia.com. FDDI AIST registration last date is April 20, 2026, without a late fee, and April 30, 2026, with a late fee. For B.Des programme:

Candidates who are interested in undergraduate programmes such as B.Des need to meet the following criteria

• Age limit: Candidates should have an age limit of 25 years as on July 1, 2026 (admission year). 

• Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must pass 10+2 in any discipline from any recognised board. 

  • Candidates who clear 10+2 from a recognised board or university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. 

  • Candidates must pass a minimum five subjects in School Examination conducted by National Open School.

  • Candidates who completed their 3 years diploma approved by AICTE after Class X from a State or Union Territory Board of Technical Education.

For M.Des programmes 

Candidates aspiring to get seat in postgraduate programmes like M.Des in Footwear Design & Production and M.Des in fashion design must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

• M.Des in Fashion Design: Students who have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized Institute or University in India.  
• M.Des in Footwear Design & Production: Students who passed the bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university or institute in India. A bridge programme comprising of two to three relevant subjects may be offered alongside the M.Des for students without a design background.

Age limit: There is no limit specified by the authorities for post-graduation courses.

FDDI AIST is a paper-based test conducted for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The FDDI AIST exam pattern has the following sections, including various topics such as Analytical Ability, Design Aptitude Test, General Awareness, Comprehension, Grammar, Usage and Business Aptitude Test. The FDDI AIST exam will assess the candidate's aptitude, knowledge, and skills related to design. 

There are four sections in FDDI AIST syllabus for B.Des. However, if a candidate is applying for both B.Des and BBA then such candidates have to attempt a fifth section on Business Aptitude. However, this section will be evaluated only for BBA admissions and not for B.Des admissions.
