NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2021 - National Institute of Fashion Technology stipulates the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2021 which include all the norms that candidates have to fulfill. Aspiring students must ensure that they have met the NIFT 2021 eligibility criteria before applying for admission in any campuses of NIFT. NIFT eligibility criteria 2021 specifies the education qualifications, age limit and other important features which students will have to meet to be applicable to appear in the entrance test of NIFT. Students must note that if any candidates fail to meet the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2021, then their candidature will be cancelled. Eligible candidates can fill the application form most likely by the fourth week of October 2020 in online mode. NIFT is a national level exam conducted in pen and paper mode to offer admission for undergraduate courses in 16 campuses of NIFT throughout India. NIFT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates will acquaint the details of the required qualifying exam and age limit to appear in the entrance test by going through the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2021. Students are mandatory to know the NIFT eligibility criteria 2021 before filling the application form.
Fashion Design/ Leather Design/Accessory Design/Textile Design/Knitwear Design/Fashion Communication) - NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2021
1. Aspiring students must have completed 10+2 board exam from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education/State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi or,
2. Any Board/Public School/University Examination conducted in India or abroad which is equivalent to 10+2 system and it is accorded by the Association of Indian Universities or,
3. If candidates complete the General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Sri Lanka/ Cambridge/) at the Advanced (A) level/International Baccalaureate (IB) then, they are eligible to apply or,
4. Students will also be eligible if they have pass the 10+2 Examination conducted by the National Open School with at least five subjects or,
5. Diploma of 3 or 4 years which is recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education.
Candidates must be of 23 years of age as on October 1, 2020. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person With Disability (PHP) get a relaxation of 5 years.
B.F.Tech (Apparel Production) - NIFT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
1. Students must pass the Class 12 exam in the 10+2 pattern of examination with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject from any recognized Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi or,
2. Any Public School/Board/University Exam in India or in foreign countries which is equivalent to a 10+2 system with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subject. It must be recognized by the Association of Indian Universities or,
3. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination(London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/International Baccalaureate (IB) or,
4. Diploma of 3 or 4 years in any programme of engineering which is recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education or,
5. A pass grade in the Higher Secondary Education Examination held by the National Open School with at least five subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Aspiring students must be 23 years by October 1, 2020. However Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person With Disability (PHP) will get an exemption of 5 years.
NIFT 2021 Eligibility Criteria - Important Point to be noted
Aparts from the eligibility criteria mentioned in the above table, following are few of the norms which students will be eligible to apply for NIFT 2021 in certain condition
Students appearing the final exam of the qualifying exam can also apply for NIFT 2021.
If Class 12/ final year / final semester exam result is not yet announced till the date of NIFT counselling procedure 2020, then students will be strictly provisional subject to the following conditions.
Students will have to submit the final result of the qualifying exam before September 30, 2021.
Candidates have to submit duly signed an affidavit of Rs.10 on a non-judicial stamp paper. Candidate’s parent/guardian must sign the affidavit if he/she is less than 18 years of age.
Candidates seeking provisional admission as the final result of their qualifying exam is awaited for declaration, then students have to submit proof that they have passed all the papers of the previous years/ semesters of qualifying exam.
Students who are appearing for compartment examination(s) of 10+2 standard will be considered only for provisional admission. But, they are required to pass the compartment exam from the same board. If candidates fail to complete, then candidature will be automatically cancelled from the provisional admission and forfeiture of the entire fee.

How can I do well in both my 12th boards and for the NIFT exam I will be sitting for? My biggest fear is what if I dont do well in either.
Now, this is quite a situation which most of the students face at a time in their career. Everyone has got to give one exam or the other. Your case is special because while most of the students have some convergence with their competitive exam and boards syllabus, it is not so for you. NIFT syllabus is clearly different from the boards. So try to manage time wisely. You can go for an easy subject for optional maybe a vocational one which has more tilt towars practical aspect. For English, you can read it whenever you like in your free time. The main subject of yours need to be given proper time, so start be making a time table and proper strategy for the whole year and try to stick to it. Now this strategy can be different according to your need and sleep routine.
