Quantitative Ability (QA) - The QA of the NIFT GAT syllabus includes the test on the quantitative ability of a candidate. Questions in the GAT test are based on addition, division, multiplication, fractions, rate of interest, percentage, work & task, ratio and proportion, and distance.
Communication Ability and English Comprehension - In this section, the candidate’s day-to-day communication in English will be tested. The questions in the exam will be asked based on the different topics that include antonyms, synonyms, words with corresponding meanings, one-word substitutes, singular, and plural, idioms and phrases, correct spellings, and comprehending a situation.
Analytical & Logical Ability - In this section, the candidate’s inference capacity and logic from the given information and skills of identifying the given problem and providing accurate solutions are tested. The most useful topics in this section will depend on the concepts and practice levels of creative and lateral thinking.
General Knowledge and Current Affairs: This section comprises questions related to general knowledge and current affairs.

The General Aptitude Test (GAT) is one of the most important parts of the NIFT entrance exam. GAT Syllabus for NIFT 2025 - B.F.Tech
Candidates willing to get admission to B.F.Tech programmes have to appear only for the GAT exam. The GAT exam for NIFT B.F.Tech is divided into two parts: Section A and Section B.

GAT Syllabus for NIFT Exam 2025 - M.F.Tech and M.F.M
The candidates willing to seek admission to the NIFT postgraduate programmes have to appear for the entrance exam. NIFT GAT is the only section included for the M.F.Tech and M.F.M. courses. The candidates who qualify in the NIFT GAT paper will be eligible to participate in the Personal Interview round. Hello aspirant,
The nationwide Institute of Fashion Technology offers a nationwide entrance exam called NIFT for admission to its fashion design programmes.
Every course has specific requirements that must be met in order to apply. For NIFT, there is no minimum age requirement, however it is evident that passing the 10+2 exam is a requirement in order to be admitted to any undergraduate programme in fashion design.
You cannot be admitted because you are in class eleven. However, you can apply to NIFT for experience and practice, and if your application is accepted, you can take the entrance exam. If you pass, however, be aware that you will not be able to retain your results for admission.

Yes, you can appear for the NIFT 2024 exam even if your 12th board exams are scheduled after the NIFT exam. NIFT allows students to take the exam as long as they are in their final year of school education. If you qualify for the exam, you can submit your 12th-grade results after your board exams. Just ensure you meet the eligibility criteria, and provide your 12th marks once the results are declared.

Yes! If you want to pursue your under graduation from nift after 12th or even if you are appearing for12th exam then you are eligible to apply for the exam. There are several courses offered by nift which includes undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
