NIFT conducted three rounds of seat allotment and published the NIFT cut-off for each round. The NIFT admissions will be done into B.Des and M.Des programmes of participating NIFTs across India. NIFT vacancy position is the vacancies that are available at all the 19 NIFT campuses after conclusion of the NIFT counselling third round of the NIFT admission payment of fee and withdrawal.

Process for NIFT 2025 Spot Round Counselling

NIFT spot round counselling is held after the conclusion of three NIFT counselling rounds. Candidates need to register and must pay the registration fee. Aspirants can check the below mentioned NIFT spot round procedure.

NIFT Spot Round Registration Process

In the NIFT spot round, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and need to register online at the portal. Aspirants can view the following steps to register:

• Candidates must fill in all the required fields and will be authenticated with the result data that is provided by the Board. After authentication, candidates must choose a password and complete the other steps of registration.
• Aspirants must use the roll number and the password that was chosen during registration. Candidates should use their login credentials and after logging in, the application form submission and choice filling will appear on the screen.
• Candidates must submit the application form and provide the other required details such as contact information and qualifications etc.
• Upload the required documents. Candidates can view the list of documents based on their credentials.
• Candidates need to verify their email address or mobile number by clicking on the button or separate link which will be available in the candidate's homepage.
• The candidates who have registered, uploaded their documents, paid the registration fee and done with document verification will be followed by reporting to the NIFT campuses as per the schedule.

NIFT Spot Round Participation Fees

Before choice filling, the newly registered candidates have to pay the registration fee of Rs. 5000/-. Candidates must note that those who have already paid the seat acceptance fee and not withdrawn in any of the three NIFT counselling rounds are exempted from the NIFT spot round 2025 registration fee of Rs. 5000/-.

NOTE: Aspirants must note that NIFT spot round registration fee of Rs. 5000/- which is non-refundable.

Candidates must note that the document verification process will be functional only for the new aspirants.

NIFT Spot Round Choice Filling and Locking

Candidates can check the below mentioned NIFT spot round choice filling and locking process.

• Candidates who have registered, paid the registration fee and got the documents verified are allowed to fill in the choices.
• All the choices will be shown to the candidates regardless of whether the seat is available or not, due to processing few virtual vacancies may arise.
• For candidates who are provisionally admitted who have already paid the admission fee, if they want to participate in the NIFT spot round counselling, then at the time of choice filling, the provisionally admitted campus and the programme where the candidate had completed the NIFT admission will not be in the list of available choices or slots. Aspirants should note that after locking of the admitted choice only will automatically be added in the last position of the new filled choices.
• The “Lock Choice” button will be made available based on the NIFT spot round counselling schedule.
• In case, candidates miss explicitly to lock their choices by the given deadline, then their last saved choices will be automatically locked by the system.
• The features of choice filling will be the same as the NIFT counselling rounds choice filling process.

NIFT Spot Round Seat Allotment

Candidates can check the NIFT seat allotment steps mentioned below.

• Choices of all the candidates who have successfully completed the NIFT spot round process will be carried based on business rules.
• Last allotted choice of all admitted candidates of the three NIFT counselling rounds who did not participate in the NIFT spot round counselling will also be carried for only category upgradation.
• Conversion of seat will be applicable in the NIFT spot round of the seat allotment based on the conversion rules.

NIFT Spot Round Result 2025

NIFT seat allotment result 2025 has been published on the official website, nift.admissions.nic.in as per the schedule. Candidates must login using their credentials and check their NIFT spot round 2025 allotment result. Aspirants must also download and take a printout of the “Provisional Allotment Letter” for further admission process. The Opening and Closing rank will also be released at the official website.

The candidates who have been allotted the seat will view their spot round result NIFT 2025. Candidates must pay the admission fee to confirm their allotted seat within the deadline. And must report to the allotted campus as per the schedule.
