The shortlisted students have to register themselves to participate in the NIFT counselling that commences after the declaration of NIFT results. The registration process of the counselling needs details like state domicile, date of birth, personal details etc., along with filling in the choice of institutes and locking them. Online registration process

The students who are qualified need to register online. The students need to follow these steps to complete the online registration process for e-counselling:

• After the release of final merit ranks, candidates must log in to the NIFT Counselling Portal, register using their application number, upload required documents, and pay the counselling registration fee.
• Candidates must bring/upload: (i) Class 10 & 12 certificates/marksheets, (ii) Graduation marksheets (for PG), (iii) Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS), (iv) PwD Certificate/UDID card, (v) Transfer/School Leaving Certificate, (vi) Medical fitness certificate, (vii) Valid ID proof, (viii) Passport (for NRI), (ix) Artisan Card (if applicable), (x) Migration Certificate, (xi) Provisional degree (for final-year candidates).
