The NIFT placement process is a platform for the students graduating from various disciplines of NIFT to fulfill their ambitions. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has a centralized placement process. The companies can recruit students from any of the NIFT campuses or disciplines as per their requirements. The NIFT campus placement process opts for 3 different methods to provide placement to its students. They are:
In the on-campus, the NIFT campus placement cell invites the companies to visit the NIFT campuses. The final year students across all campuses are eligible for this type of NIFT placement. There are scheduled dates and times allotted when the companies visit the campus and they can conduct the NIFT campus placement process for the interested students. The companies can take interviews or tests or simply choose the candidates from their portfolio or NIFT placements percentage merit.
The companies provide pre-placement offers to the students before the on-campus placement and provide an offer. These students are provided with a job offer based on their projects, internships, and training conducted by the company. Once the students are provided with the pre-placement offer, companies with NIFT make sure that they fill the moderated ‘Industry Mentor Feedback’ form to ensure that these students do not participate in the coming placement process.
Off-campus placements are the other way of providing placements to the students. NIFT after finishing the on-campus placements offers off-campus placements for the students to facilitate job opportunities. In the off-campus drive, the NIFT placement companies that could not participate in campus placements earlier can take part. The off-campus placement is conducted through the Industry and Alumni Affairs unit (I&AA). NIFT placements have greater opportunities with NIFT highest packages.
