The Footwear Design & Development Institute released the FDDI eligibility criteria 2025 at fddiindia.com. Candidates seeking FDDI admission need to meet the eligibility criteria as laid down by the authorities. Along with the minimum qualification and age limit, the eligibility criteria of FDDI 2025 also include communication standards. Candidates who qualify the FDDI AIST entrance exam or UCEED are eligible for admission. FDDI 2025 was conducted on May 11. The authorities released the FDDI 2025 eligibility criteria through the official brochure. Candidates can check the FDDI eligibility criteria 2025 that have been provided below.
A candidate who has passed:
10+2, in any stream, from any recognised Board (or)
Any School or Board or University examination in India or in foreign country recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system (or)
School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects or)
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved three –years full time Diploma after Class X offered by Board of Technical Education of any state or Union territory.
Candidates who appeared for any examination and whose result has not been declared at the time of admission, shall be eligible to apply for admission to the Bachelor’s Programmes and such candidate, if selected, shall be granted provisional admission and shall be required to submit the result of the requisite examination on or before the September 30.
As per FDDI eligibility criteria, students also need to meet the age limit criterion for admission to BDes course. The age limit for the Bachelor’s programme shall be 25 years as on July 1, 2025.
The criteria for processing score obtained against the FDDI AIST Rank are as follows:
The aggregate percentile of any national-level entrance examination score may be equated at par with the FDDI percentile. Marks corresponding to the nearest percentile of the candidate who appeared in the FDDI AIST may be allowed and the candidate having score/percentage/percentile in entrance examinations may be positioned just below such candidates.
Students having valid scores are needed to apply online for admission. However, they may be given an exemption from appearing in AIST. In case they appear for AIST examination, the rank for such candidates shall be determined on the basis of candidate’s performance in AIST. Results of any National Level Entrance examination submitted after May 15 will not be considered.

Master of Design (M. Des.) in Footwear Design & Production: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognized by law in India. However, the bridge programme comprising two to three relevant subjects may be offered with the existing M.Des. programme to the students who doesn’t have any design background to provide necessary design inputs in order to understand the design concepts.
Master of Design (M.Des.) in Fashion Design: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognised by law in India.
FDDI admissions require the candidates to be proficient in English, both written and oral. Having a good command of the English language will help the candidates to perform well in the test as well as an interview as the medium of the entrance test is English.
Top Design Entrance Exams
The institute released the FDDI AIST registration form 2025 on November 15, 2024 in online mode. Candidates who are interested in appearing for the FDDI AIST 2025 entrance exam had to fill out the application form online by providing the required information and documents. Before filling out the application form, candidates must ensure that they fulfilled the FDDI admission eligibility criteria. General/ OBC (Non-Creamy)/ GEN-EWS candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs. 600 either through Debit/ Credit card/ Net banking etc. The application fee and mode of payment are online only. Students need to prepare for the exam based on the FDDI entrance exam syllabus.
