Accessory design is a comparatively new programme. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), the best design college in India offering various programmes, has also introduced this specialised course recently due to increased demand. 

 

Dr. Vijaya Deshmukh, Director, NIFT Jodhpur, says “Keeping in mind the increasing demand and current scenarios, we launched accessory design in July 2016.”

 

“We have introduced Bachelor of Design in fashion & lifestyle accessories in the year 2013”, shares Colonel Subroto Biswas (retired), Director, NIFT Kolkata and Shillong.

 

Prof. Sanjay Shrivastava, Director, NIFT Patna and additional in-charge of NIFT Bhubaneswar shares, “Accessory Design has also joined the league of NIFT Patna alumni association in 2017.”
