AIFD WAT Exam 2025: Registration, Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus, Preparation

Applicants who seek AIFD admission are suggested that they need to meet the eligibility criteria. The authorities will publish the AIFT eligibility criteria on its official brochure. Candidates need to go through all the instructions and eligibility criteria specified on its AIFD 2025 notification before applying. • Applicants need to be children of serving Army personnel/ ex Army personnel and children of war widows/widows of the Army. 

• Candidates must satisfy any one of the following category:

  • Children of serving army personnel (minimum 10 year serve period is required)

  •  Children of ex-Army personnel

  • Adopted/ step Children and children of remarried woman

  • Children of Ex Army Medical Corps Officers / Army Dental Corps Officers Presently Serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force (IN / IAF)

  • Children of APS / MNS / TA Personnel. 

• Candidates must pass class 11 and 12 standard with 35% minimum aggregate marks from a  recognised body/ University. 

• Candidates completed 10+2 in regular mode are eligible for admission to B.Sc. (FAD) and B.Sc. (IDD) as per Bengaluru North University norms. 

• Applicants who completed 10+2 via distance education or NIOS must have the same subjects in both 11th and 12th grades, admission is through the Online Admission Test (OAT).

AIFD WAT application form was released in December 2024. The AIFD WAT 2025 registration form is available at aifd.ac.in. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the authorities can apply for the AIFD WAT 2025. Candidates who fail to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned on the AIFD WAT official notification, will not be eligible to apply or their candidature will be cancelled. To complete the AIFD WAT application form 2025 candidates need to pay the application fee specified by the authorities.

• Certificate: Certificate No 01, Certificate No 02, or Certificate No 03 (whichever is applicable for Army personnel).

• Medical Fitness: Authenticated by any Medical Officer.

• Willingness Certificate

• Declaration by Parent

• X/SSC/ICSE Certificate

• XI Certificate

• XII Certificate: If passed in the previous year, or mention appearing.

• Caste Certificate: If SC/ST/OBC.

• Gallantry Awards: Details and attach Gazette Notification if applicable.

Steps to apply for AIFD WAT 2025 registration form

The steps to fill out the AIFD WAT application form were as follows:

Registration - Aspirants have to first complete the AIFD WAT 2025 registration process by providing some basic details such as name, email id, mobile number etc.

Fill out the application form - Next, upon successful registration, the login credentials are generated. Aspirants have to login using the credentials and completed filling out the application form.

Upload the documents - Aspirants also have to upload the necessary documents as per specifications provided by the concerned authorities.

Pay the application fee - Finally, aspirants to make the payment of the application fee of AIFD WAT 2025.

Army Institute of Fashion and Design won't be conducting the AIFD entrance exam. Hence the AIFD exam pattern is not specified on the official website - aifd.edu.in. The AIFD WAT 2025 exam pattern is not available on its official brochure. Students preparing for the AIFD WAT exam must note that the exam will not be held. Earlier, the duration of the exam is 3 hours. AIFD WAT test pattern specified exam structure such as duration of the time, syllabus, type of question, marks and more. Earlier the students who prepared for AIFD WAT, had to go through the following preparation tips to excel in the exam previously. However for 2025 the AIFD WAT exam has been discontinued.

• Start creating the study plan with a preparation schedule and allocate time for each topic, section, and take short breaks to avoid exhaustion.

• To avoid unnecessary stress, start the early preparation before the exam. 

• Study the entire syllabus to avoid missing any topics. 

• Study regularly using the AIFD WAT entrance exam books, study materials, sample papers and previous year question papers.

• Take a mock test to experience the actual exam.

• Regularly practising helps the students to identify their strengths and weaknesses.  

• Improve the sketching and drawing skills for design related skills.   

The authorities won't issue the AIFD WAT admit card 2025 as the entrance exam has been discontinued. Previously, the candidates had to visit the official website at aifd.cbtexam.in and login using the credentials such as login ID and password to obtain the AIFD WAT admit card. Candidates who completed the registration successfully were able to download the AIFD WAT admit card. In case of any discrepancy in downloading the admit card, candidates can contact the principal of Army institute of fashion and design for assistance in obtaining the duplicate AIFD WAT hall ticket. 

How to download the AIFD WAT admit card 2025?
If the admit card is released, then the candidates need to follow the below steps to download the AIFD WAT hall ticket 2025: 

• Visit the official website - aifd.edu.in 

• Click the link ‘AIFD WAT admit card’ 

• Enter the login credentials - login ID and password

• The admit card will appear on the screen.

• Take the print out and download the admit card. 

Note: Candidates need to carry the hall ticket along with valid ID proof to the AIFD WAT exam centre on the exam day. 

The AIFD authorities will declare the AIFD WAT result on its official website- aifd.edu.in. AIFD WAT 2025 result date is May 12, 2025. AIFD WAT result will be released in the form of merit list. Selected candidates need to register and make the fee payment for admission before the specified date. The AIFD WAT final merit list will be released on June 10, 2025. 

Steps to download the AIFD WAT results 2025? 

To check the AIFD WAT 2025 results, candidates can follow the below steps: 

• Go to the official website  of AIFD - aifd.edu.in

• Visit the official website: AIFD Official Website.

• Click on the link “AIFD WAT 2025 result.”

• Enter your login details.

• Verify the result and save it for future reference.

Candidates will be required to report to the institute for AIFD WAT counselling. AIFD WAT 2025 counselling comprises document verification. Qualified candidates will be required to submit the below-mentioned documents:

• Transfer certificate

• Matriculation marks card

• Migration certificate

• Character certificate

• Both 11th and 12th class marks card (having studied the same combination for two years)

The Army Institute of Fashion and Design selection is based on the marks obtained in Class X and Class XII and online interview by Board of Officers. Interested candidates must appear for the AIFD WAT interview, which is conducted online for admission to AIFD. The authorities will release it online on the official website in the form of a merit list. The final merit of the student will be announced on the official website. Selected candidates must pay the institute and hostel fees before the last date.
