AIFD WAT 2024 counselling was conducted by the Army Institute of Fashion and Design (AIFD) in online mode after the announcement of the merit list. Candidates who have been shortlisted were required to present themselves at AIFD Bangalore for the verification of their documents to participate in the admission procedure, which was a part of the AIFD WAT 2024 counselling process.
The AIFD WAT counselling process involved the verification of documents and also the payment of fees and the allotment of seats. Therefore, students were advised to be prepared for counselling of AIFD WAT 2024.
Students had to understand the significance of the counselling process in their journey towards admission. This was a pivotal time when they have the chance to secure their spot at the institute. As such, it was advisable for students to treat this process with the gravity it warrants, ensuring they had to be ready with all required documents and prepared for the procedures of fee payment and seat allotment. By doing so, they could facilitate a seamless and successful admission process.
An important note was issued to the candidates that their admission to the Army Institute of Fashion and Design (AIFD) was considered provisional until they presented the necessary original documents for verification. A total of 60 seats were granted based on the candidates’ performance in the AIFD WAT examination. During the AIFD WAT counselling process, candidates were required to present the following original documents:
Character Certificate: This document attests to the candidate’s behaviour and conduct during their previous academic engagement.
Transfer Certificate: This is a formal document issued by the institution most recently attended by the candidate, indicating their official release from that institution.
Migration Certificate: This certificate is necessary for candidates who have completed their previous studies outside of the state where AIFD is located. It signifies the candidate’s eligibility to pursue further studies in a different state.
Matriculation Marks Card: This card provides proof of the candidate’s performance in their matriculation examination.
Mark Sheet of Class XI and XII: Candidates must have studied the same combination for two years, and these mark sheets serve as evidence of their academic performance during this period.

It’s an important note that failure to present these documents in their original form resulted in the candidate’s admission being deemed provisional or even cancelled. Therefore, candidates were advised to prepare these documents well in advance of the counselling process.
Top Design Entrance Exam
In the event that candidates are unable to present their original documents during the AIFD WAT 2024 counselling process, they may still be granted provisional admission at the Army Institute of Fashion and Design (AIFD) Bangalore. However, these candidates must provide a letter from the head of their previous institution.
Following the grant of provisional admission, candidates were given a 15-day window to submit their original documents. It’s important to note that failure to submit these documents within the time frame led to the cancellation of the candidate’s admission. Therefore, candidates had been advised to ensure they have all necessary documents ready in order to avoid any complications with their admission process.

Candidates were required to submit a registration fee of Rs 10,000 and a hostel fee of Rs 5,000. The payment to be made through a crossed Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of the “Army Institute of Fashion & Design”, payable at Bangalore. This payment had to be made on or before the Third week of May 2024. Following this, the institute announced the final list of AIFD WAT admissions in the last week of May 2024.
The Army Institute of Fashion and Design (AIFD), Bangalore conducted the Written Admission Test (WAT) on April 14, 2024. This test was a crucial part of the admissions process for the three-year Fashion & Apparel Design (B.Sc. - FAD) program. The institute, which is affiliated with Bangalore University, allocates a total of 60 seats to the eligible and qualified candidates. Notably, 10% of these seats are reserved for civilians from Karnataka.
AIFD WAT counselling was conducted after the release of the final merit list on May 21, 2024.
For the verification process at the counselling centres, candidates were required to bring the following documents:
Character certificate
Transfer certificate
Migration certificate
Matriculation marks card
Mark sheet of class XI and XII (having studied the same combination for two years)
If candidates can’t provide original documents during AIFD WAT 2024 counselling, they were issued provisional admission at AIFD Bangalore. They had to submit these documents within 15 days, or their admission will be cancelled.
