NIFT Situation Test 2025
The authorities conduct the NIFT 2025 in two rounds. The first round is the NIFT GAT & CAT exams and the second round is the situation test/studio test for UG and a personal interview round is for PG candidates. Interested aspirants enrolling for the B.Des program must appear for both - the entrance exam (GAT & CAT) and the situation test.
The situation test is also known as a studio test. NIFT situation test 2025 will be conducted in April. After the declaration of NIFT results, the notification for the situation test will be released at exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT and nift.ac.in.

NIFT Situation Test 2025 Eligibility
The candidates who qualified the NIFT entrance exam and are shortlisted will be eligible to appear for the NIFT situation test 2025 for the B.Des admission. The candidates must appear for both the GAT and CAT exams. If a candidate does not appear for any one of the exams, then he/she will not be shortlisted for the situation test. The NIFT 2025 exam was conducted on February 09 for all UG and PG aspirants. The situation test or studio test is expected to be conducted in April 2025, after the declaration of the GAT & CAT exams results.

NIFT Situation Test 2025 Syllabus
Shortlisted candidates for B.Des after the entrance exam are required to take a situation test, which is a hands-on test to evaluate the applicants' skills for material handling and the innovative ability for a given situation with the given set of materials. Candidates must note that no additional material will be provided or allowed.
The candidates will be asked to make a model. The model will be evaluated based on the following:
Space visualisation
Innovative and creative use of given material
Composition of elements
Colour Scheme
Construction skill
Finesse of the model and
Overall presentation.
The above parameters will be checked with the write-up explaining the concept behind the model constructed. Since the medium of instruction in NIFT is English, candidates are advised to write in the English language itself. There won’t be any marks allotted for write-ups in any other language.
The use of outside or additional material in the making of a model or design is not allowed. Also, candidates trying to disclose their identity by writing any personal information or placing any identification mark on the model or design or write-up will be disqualified and the final results of the candidates who are disqualified will not be declared.
The evaluation of the test will be conducted by the jury on the spot. The model will not be preserved for future reference.

NIFT 2025 Situation Test City Intimation Slip
National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the NIFT 2025 situation test city intimation slip date online on the official website. The NIFT 2025 situation test intimation slip includes the city name, testing location and more. Candidates appearing for the NIFT 2025 situation test must check the city allotment for the exam beforehand. The city intimation slip will help students know about the examination centre. Hello aspirant,
The nationwide Institute of Fashion Technology offers a nationwide entrance exam called NIFT for admission to its fashion design programmes.
Every course has specific requirements that must be met in order to apply. For NIFT, there is no minimum age requirement, however it is evident that passing the 10+2 exam is a requirement in order to be admitted to any undergraduate programme in fashion design.
You cannot be admitted because you are in class eleven. However, you can apply to NIFT for experience and practice, and if your application is accepted, you can take the entrance exam. If you pass, however, be aware that you will not be able to retain your results for admission.

Yes, you can appear for the NIFT 2024 exam even if your 12th board exams are scheduled after the NIFT exam. NIFT allows students to take the exam as long as they are in their final year of school education. If you qualify for the exam, you can submit your 12th-grade results after your board exams. Just ensure you meet the eligibility criteria, and provide your 12th marks once the results are declared.

Yes! If you want to pursue your under graduation from nift after 12th or even if you are appearing for12th exam then you are eligible to apply for the exam. There are several courses offered by nift which includes undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
