The Indian School of Design and Innovation has released the ISDI Challenge syllabus 2025. As per ISDI Challenge exam syllabus 2025, candidates will be asked questions based on General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Analytical Thinking and Storytelling. The ISDI challenge includes a design aptitude test that the students have to appear in order to get admission to the ISDI School of Design and Innovation. The ISDI Challenge DAT test is the second step in the admission process which is compulsory for all the students to attempt. The total marks for this design aptitude test is 100 and it carries 30 per cent of the ISDI challenge weightage.

The general awareness section of the ISDI design Aptitude Test 2025 would include 15 questions with ISDI challenge exam syllabus weightage of 30 marks. In this section, the students will be tested based on their knowledge of current affairs and general knowledge. Students should stay updated with the latest happenings around the world, especially in the design industry. The students can score well in this section by having basic knowledge about design aptitude.
Logical Reasoning is one of the most commonly asked questions in the design aptitude tests. ISDI Challenge exam syllabus states that there will be 15 questions from this section bearing 30 marks. Students can practice questions from different topics such as number series, blood relations, the square of opposition, sitting arrangement etc. This section usually consists of mark fetching questions which should not be avoided.
In the analytical thinking section of the ISDI challenge exam 2025, the students are tested based on visual and textual understanding of various things. The questions might include counting a particular shape in the given image, finding the next image in the series, completing the series etc. The students need to have critical thinking skills to understand the questions easily. The ISDI challenge exam 2025 syllabus pdf also includes a section of storytelling which consists of 20 marks. The students will be given one question which will consist of an image that they have to understand and create an interesting narrative within 15 sentences. This section not only tests the student's language skills but also wants to assess creativity.

The ISDI challenge exam consists of three steps which are as follows:
Step A: The students must upload their portfolio which will be of 100 marks and will have an ISDI challenge exam weightage of 40 per cent. The students need to present a range of drawings, paintings, sculptures, performances, graphic designs, photographs etc. Usually, the students are advised to upload 8 or 10 pieces of the best work in either PDF or JPEG / JPG or a counselling-dated zip file format. It must be ensured that the file size does not exceed 500 MB.
In case the student doesn't possess a Portfolio, they can create a visual work inspired by any one of the given topics below
The students can submit videos, photographs, sculptures, collages, and digital images, along with a 500-word essay that describes the ideas represented.
Step B: The second step consists of a design Aptitude Test which has 100 marks and a weightage of 30 per cent. The students will have to attempt multiple-choice questions from the topics discussed above within 60 minutes. There will be no negative marking.
Step C: The final step in the admission process consists of an online interview which also has 100 marks and a weightage of 30 per cent. The duration of this section is 25 minutes, and the interview will take place over a phone call or video call with one of the instructors from ISDI.
Students can start preparing for the ISDI challenge by building a good portfolio and practising for the entrance exam according to the ISDI syllabus and improving communication for the interview.
The ISDI offers undergraduate programmes to students who want to build a career in designing. To join the institute, one needs to go through the ISDI challenge which has 3 steps in it which includes portfolio, a design aptitude test and interview.
ISDI DAT exam is the second step of the admission process which includes a test of 100 marks that students need to attempt. The duration of the test is 60 minutes, and the students need to solve MCQs.
The ISDI DAT consists of 4 sections, such as general awareness, logical reasoning, analytical thinking and storytelling.
Each MCQ question carries 2 marks if answered correctly and there is no negative marking. The storytelling section has 20 marks.
