Solution
Analyse the critical components in the question to solve this problem in the time constraint of max. 15 minutes and 05 minutes for the final touchups.
Component | Details for Sketching |
Primary Character | A 07-year old child (small proportions, playful posture) |
Secondary Character | Pet Dog, (friendly interaction, emotional connections) |
Tertiary Character | Father observing the kid with smile, emotional state of frame |
Activity | Eating snacks, props like plates, snacks, table etc. with the appropriate background should be indicated in the composition |
Point of View ( View Angle) | View from the nearby chair, (down to up perspective) |
Time of the Day | Afternoon so the light is direct and hard. |
Description : We need to understand the perspective to set the narration for the composition. Fix your POV from the perspective of “ Chair” that means below the waist level of the human.
Organise the composition into layers, placing all the elements in the grid for fulfilling the three-dimensional spaces.
Ensure the correct proportions for the 7-year old girl, dog and other necessary details in the composition.

While sketching the icons for the museum following things have to be taken care of in the approach :
Icon Semantics : Should include the cultural familiarity, high tech, global standards and universal nature looking at the diversity of India
Visual Language : Primarily the consistency needs to be focussed in making all the four icons. Solid ‘glyphs’ (bold black silhouettes) with consistent stroke weight.
3. Technical Execution : Avoid writing any supporting text, the icon and the
elements of the icon should communicate the meaning. The visual weight and
“contrast” should not differ more in an icon.
