Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has notified the UCEED 2026 tie breaker rule in the UCEED 2026 information brochure on the official website - iitb.ac.in. The UCEED tie-breaker rule 2026 will be used to rank the candidates in the UCEED 2026 rank list, if they obtain the same score in the UCEED 2026 result. After being shortlisted in the UEED entrance exam, candidates will be eligible for admission into the B.Des programme of 6 IITs and IIITDM Jabalpur. With a valid score in UCEED 2026, candidates can also apply to other colleges that accept UCEED scores.

Rules for Resolving Ties in UCEED 2026
The following is the tie-breaking policy which is applicable when two or more candidates score the same marks:
Only the shortlisted candidates will get a rank. The rank list is prepared based on the total marks obtained by the candidates in part - A and part - B combined in the UCEED entrance exam. If the total marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, then the UCEED 2026 tie resolution process will be applied for awarding the ranks.

A candidate is offered seats during the UCEED counselling process based on their rank and the college preferences submitted by them.
