The National Institute of Fashion Technology will open the NIFT PG 2026 spot round counselling registration from July 19 to 22, 2026. Candidates can register and upload the documents on the official admisson website. The choice filling and editing for NIFT 2026 spot round can be done till July 23. The NIFT PG 2026 spot round seat allotment will be announced on July 24, 2026. The allotted candidates must pay the admission fee by July 27 to confirm their admission. The authorities will also release the NIFT PG 2026 cutoff for the spot round.

There are three Master's disciplines offered through the NIFT PG entrance exam, namely MDes, MFM, and MFTech. The M.Des focuses on Trends Research and Forecasting, Design Thinking, and Innovation, among others. MFM or Fashion Management focuses on Management, Marketing, Merchandising, Entrepreneurship, as well as IT applications. NTA released the final NIFT PG Answer key on March 23, 2026, after considering the valid objections. The authorities had earlier released the provisional answer key on February 17, 2026, and allowed candidates to submit challenges till February 19, 2026. Candidates could challenge the questions on the Answer key with Rs. 200/- per challenged question, which is non-refundable. After the final result has been declared, no challenge against the Answer key will be entertained.
The NIFT results/merit list was declared on March 20, 2026. The NIFT 2026 final result was released on June 3, 2026.
Stage 1 of the NIFT results was declared on March 20, 2026, showing the combined results of the CAT and GAT scores, based on which candidates are shortlisted for the next round.
After the announcement of the Stage 2 results, the process of seat allocation involves appearing before the Evaluation Committee of NIFT. Also, use the NIFT College Predictor to know your suitable design college
The NIFT PG cutoff for spot round will be released soon on its official website. The authorities release the NIFT PG cutoff 2026 for each round of counselling. Only those candidates who clear the cutoff will obtain seat allotment. The NIFT PG cutoff will be available as opening and closing ranks for each category and programme.

The NIFT PG counselling spot round will be underway from July 22, 2026. The spot round is the final round of NIFT PG counselling 2026. Candidates have to register and fill their college choices. The NIFT PG seat allotment for the spot round will be out on July 24, 2026. The seat allotment is done based on the candidate's campus preferences and their rank. There will be three rounds of NIFT PG counselling 2026, followed by a spot round. It is also worth noting that a candidate can only make one application at a time, and multiple applications are liable to be rejected. However, the application page does allow for candidates to apply to M.F.M and M.Des. programmes provided they are eligible for these courses. NTA closed the NIFT PG 2026 application form correction window on January 22, 2026. All registered candidates were allowed to make the corrections through their login. It must be noted that candidates are not allowed to change certain details such as their registered email ID and mobile number.
