For most of the NIFT master's courses, eligibility is that aspirants need to have an undergraduate degree. NIFT 2027 eligibility criteria will be released at nift.ac.in. Students who want to join the National Institute of Fashion Technology must apply for the NIFT 2027. This entrance examination is conducted every year to select the best students across the country for master’s programmes at NIFT campuses in India. Students must apply for the NIFT PG Courses entrance exam, which is different for all the 3 specialisations.
The NIFT PG Courses entrance exam for the Master of Design Course includes the CAT and GAT exam as the first step. The students are tested based on their creative ability test, which judges their drawing skills and creativity. The general ability test is directed more towards understanding design aptitude, current affairs and general knowledge, English knowledge, quantitative ability, etc. The students who qualify in both these papers need to sit for a personal interview round that is conducted in the NIFT campuses in India. The students are judged based on their personality, confidence, and speaking abilities.
The students who are planning to pursue MFM and MFTech only need to appear for the GAT exam at the first step. If they qualify the GAT entrance exam, which consists of design aptitude questions, logical reasoning, quantitative ability, English, etc., they will proceed to appear in the personal interview round. The personal interview round consists of questions related to the field of fashion and current affairs, which tests the communicative skills of the students.
