Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay will release the details on UCEED total marks 2026 along with the official notification at uceed.iitb.ac.in. The UCEED 2026 notification will be out on October 1, 2025. IIT Bombay will conduct UCEED 2026 on January 18, 2026. As per the previous year’s UCEED total marks pattern, part A will be of 200 marks, while part B will be held for 100 marks. Detailed information on total marks, negative marking, marks distribution, and more will be made available through the UCEED exam pattern 2026. IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED entrance exam in online mode for Part A and in offline mode for Part B. UCEED Total Marks 2026: Highlights

Aspirants who are going to appear for UCEED 2026 are hereby provided with some of the important points to know about the total marks of UCEED.

  • The UCEED exam total marks will be 300.

  • The total exam marks in UCEED 2026 will be divided into part A and part B.

  • Total marks in UCEED Part A will be 200.

  • UCEED marks for Part B will be 100.

  • UCEED negative marking will be applicable for sections 2 and 3 of Part A.

  • For Part B, there will be no UCEED negative marking.

UCEED Total Marks for Part A

The UCEED exam total marks for Part A will be 200. The UCEED total marks of 200 for Part A will be divided into three sections. Each section consists of different types of questions and marking schemes. One section in Part A will not have UCEED negative marking, whereas the other two sections in Part A will be considered for negative marking.

UCEED is a competitive exam for design aspirants, testing design aptitude, logical thinking, creativity, and visualisation skills. To improve your score out of 300, start by understanding the exam pattern—Part A (objective) and Part B (subjective). For Part A, practice reasoning, numerical aptitude, and environmental & social awareness questions. For Part B, focus on drawing, sketching, and presenting your ideas clearly. Solve past year UCEED papers and join online mock test series. Spend at least 2–3 hours daily practising creative problem-solving and sketching. Also, work on time management because the exam requires quick thinking.

For NID DAT 2026, your eligibility is established based on your born date as you are born on or after July 1st 2005. For UCEED 2026, your eligibility is dependent on your born date by category. You are eligible if you are OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 2001. If you are SC/ST/PwD category you must be born on or after October 1, 1996 in order to be eligible. Based on your born date of December 20th, 2006 for both NID DAT 2026 and UCEED 2026; you will be eligible.
