The Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) conducts the IIAD MAT 2025 exam as a part of IIAD entrance exam for students aspiring admissions into undergraduate Fashion Business Management programmes. The IIAD Management Aptitude Test (IMAT) is available in both online and offline modes.
The IIAD Management Aptitude Test (iMAT) is a written test designed to assess an applicant's language, logical reasoning, quantitative ability and creative thinking. Part A consists of questions based on following topics i.e., quantitative ability, logical reasoning, comprehension, assimilative reading and data interpretation. It also comprises questions to test ability to write a well-structured, and coherently argued essay.
Quantitative ability involves the ability to understand, interpret, and work with numerical data, calculations, and application of mathematical concepts to solve problems. It also includes finding the intriguing relevance of the fundamental principles of science and mathematics that were learned up to the 10th standard in daily activities and objects.
Logical reasoning includes the ability of the students to comprehend knowledge, understanding of the given information and making connections between the given data to finally draw effective conclusions. This also includes understanding different patterns and therefore evaluating different possible solutions. It also judges the ability to read and view objects and information beyond making connections, drawing meanings and conclusions, obvious details, forming opinions, and making comparisons.
Comprehension judges a student’s ability to read and understand a given text and then follow a set of given instructions to make sense of information. Interpreting information in the context of its presentation is necessary for comprehension. Consequently, assessing and examining the data to comprehend its consequences, applicability, and conclusions.
Data interpretation is the ability for analyzing data and making sense of given data to draw meaningful conclusions. It’s a basic important skill which is required for various fields, including statistics, research, and business.
