The UCEED 2027 exam will be held on January 17, 2027, in online mode. Candidates who are interested in appearing for the UCEED exam are advised to go through the UCEED 2027 syllabus thoroughly. The UCEED syllabus consists of two parts: UCEED 2027 Part A syllabus and UCEED 2027 Part B Syllabus. The UCEED 2027 Part B paper will be evaluated only for the shortlisted students from the Part A exam. The UCEED Part B exam will be conducted in offline mode. Through this exam, candidates will be examined on their drawing, sketching, and design knowledge. Candidates should know about the UCEED drawing syllabus, UCEED sketching syllabus, and UCEED design syllabus. Based on the UCEED Part B scores, authorities will release the UCEED 2027 results on their official website. All the shortlisted candidates in the UCEED entrance exam will be able to get their common merit rank. Candidates who secure the common merit rank are considered qualified candidates in the UCEED 2027 exam. Check the information given below about all the sections included in the UCEED Part B syllabus:
In the UCEED Part B drawing, candidates will be evaluated on their drawing and design skills. Based on the previous year’s examination pattern, the drawing and design questions will be displayed on the computer screen; candidates will have to draw in the given answer booklet.
In the UCEED Part B design aptitude section, similar to sketching, candidates can view the design aptitude question on the screen. Based on the question, candidates must answer either through written/drawn on the given answer booklet.
Based on the previous year’s Part B questioning types, the Part B exam paper will be mainly focused on drawing and design aptitude. Detailed analysis of the Part B questioning is given below:
1. Drawing Question:
Through UCEED drawing questions, candidates will be tested on their ability to observe the given situation and sketch it in a creative way. The main motive of this question is to examine candidates' observation skills, visual composition, line quality, storytelling skills, and understanding of light and shadow.
2. Design Aptitude Question
Through UCEED design aptitude questioning, candidates will be examined on their design ability, product design, and problem-solving skills. With this question, authorities will test the candidates' creative problem-solving skills, product design skills, sketching and visual communication skills, and how candidates perceive their innovation as per the user needs.
Overall, UCEED Part B doesn’t just test your drawing and sketching skills. Through this exam, candidates will be mainly examined on their creativity, practicality of design, presentation skills, and design knowledge.
Since the UCEED Part B paper will examine candidates' creativity, drawing, and design thinking skills, there is no fixed syllabus for this paper. But candidates can regularly practice and refine their storytelling and drawing skills. Check the preparation tips given below for the UCEED Part B exam.

Design Aptitude (50 Marks)
Students often travel on long-distance trains and stay at dormitories while going for interviews/exams from one city to another. During their travel and stay, students often struggle to keep their personal toiletries organized and accessible in the toilets. Items may get misplaced, mixed up, or remain wet after use. Design a compact and portable toiletry organizer that helps students carry, store, and dry their items hygienically. It should be secure, easy to maintain, and identifiable as a personal belonging.
