WDT Eligibility Criteria for International Students

Woxsen University opens applications for International students under the following Categories: 

• Foreign Nationals (FN): This category is for individuals who hold citizenship of a foreign country (excluding India) and do not possess CWG/PIO/OCI status.
• Non-Resident Indians (NRI): This category is for individuals who, despite being Indian citizens, resides in a foreign country.
• Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI): This category is for individuals who hold citizenship of any country (except Pakistan & Bangladesh) and possess a PIO/OCI card in accordance with the existing laws of the Indian Government.

Students who fall in the above categories will be considered International students for Woxsen University. The International students should satisfy the following Woxsen Design Test 2026 eligibility criteria mentioned by the Woxsen University as below.

• Applicants should have completed either Grade 10th/O level/Form IV/Secondary School equivalent to the Indian 10th or 12th grade examination, outside India.

English Language Requirements

All International Students who are applying for the B.Des (Hons) programme must meet one of the following English language requirements: 

• Candidates achieved a minimum of 60% marks in an English course in 10th/12th grade or Higher Education as stated above.
• Completed their eligibility qualification at a School/University where English is the language of instruction. Proof of this must be provided by the respective School/University.
• Attained an IELTS band score of 6.0.
• Secured a TOEFL (ICBT) score of 70 or equivalent in any of the TOEFL formats.

Note: The equivalency of the educational qualifications will be determined by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). If a qualification is not recognized by the AIU, the applicant must provide proof of equivalency from the Indian High Commission/Consulate in their respective country or the relevant statutory body, as applicable.

• Step 3: Click on the link “ WDT 2027 admit card " to download.

Candidates aspiring to join the BDes programme at Woxsen University through the Woxsen Design Test need to follow the following procedure: 

• Application Submission: Candidates are required to fill out and submit the application form along with the Statement of Purpose (SOP). The SOP should clearly state the candidate's motivation for pursuing the BDes (Hon) course, achievements, and future goals.
• Woxsen Design Test: Candidates must take the WDT. The Woxsen Design Test is designed to evaluate the candidate's creative potential, general aptitude, and drawing /sketching skills. 
• Alternative Test Scores: Candidates also have the option to submit their scores from other recognized tests such as NIFT, NID, UCEED, SAT, or CUET.
• Psychometric Test: Candidates who successfully clear the WDT are then invited to take a Psychometric Test. This test is designed to assess a candidate’s cognitive abilities and personality traits, covering areas such as verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, logical reasoning, writing, and more.
• Personal Interview: Finally, successful candidates are invited to participate in a Personal Interview round. The date for this will be communicated in advance. During the interview, the panel evaluates the candidates based on their creative abilities, knowledge of the subject, communication skills, and other competencies.

Once all these stages are successfully completed, the candidate will be offered admission to the B.Design course at Woxsen University. To secure their spot, the candidate will need to pay the requisite fees.
