The IIT Gandhinagar MDes 2026 application form will open on March 11, 2026. Candidates who have a valid score in the CEED 2026 entrance exam can apply online till March 31, 2026. As part of the IIT Gandhinagar MDes 2026 admission process, shortlisted candidates based on CEED 2026 scores have to participate in a studio test and interview round. IIT Gandhinagar offers a 2-year MDes in Integrated Design and Technology. IIT Gandhinagar is the latest to join CEED 2026. It takes the number of IITs in the CEED admission process to eight institutes. There is no centralised counselling, so the IIT MDes admissions are conducted separately by each participating college.

The details about the eligibility criteria for IIT Gandhinagar MDes is given below -
Educational qualification: Graduation degree (4years or more) in Design (B.Des), Architecture (B.Arch), Fine Arts (B.F.A/B.V.A), Engineering (B.E), or Technology (B.Tech) from a recognised institution.
Minimum passing marks: 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA (50% marks or equivalent for SC/ST/PwD categories).

IIT Gandhinagar will open the MDes application form on March 11, 2026. Interested applicants who fulfil the eligibility criteria can submit the IIT Gandhinagar MDes application form 2026 online till March 31. The application process is given below.

The institute will scrutinise all applications to verify whether they meet the eligibility criteria of the streams/programme applied to.
Based on the CEED scores, the institute will prepare a category-wise shortlist of eligible candidates to appear for the next round.
The number of candidates shortlisted will be eight times the number of seats in each category
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for the IITGN Design Aptitude Tests (DATs), which consist of the studio test and/or interviews, in person at IIT Gandhinagar
The final merit list of selected candidates will be prepared based on 70% CEED Score and 30% of IITGN DATs.
Selected candidates must confirm their seat by paying fees, deposits, and hostel rent before the prescribed deadline
