The NIFT 2026 toppers list will be available after the exam. The NIFT toppers 2026 will be decided as per the NIFT 2026 final result. The NIFT result will be declared based on the score in the NIFT 2026 entrance exam and the second stage of admission, which is either a situation test (for B.Des/MDes) or an interview (PG programmes). During the previous year (2025), a total of 33,877 candidates registered for the NIFT entrance exam. Out of them, 31,061 candidates appeared for the exam. Candidates will be allotted seats in to design programmes of the NIFT campuses across India through the NIFT admission process

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a prestigious institution that provides a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of fashion and design. Each year, the NIFT entrance exam attracts a large number of candidates. This NIFT entrance exam is divided into three parts: the Creative Ability Test (CAT), the General Ability Test (GAT), and the Situation Test/Group Discussion/Personal Interview.

The final merit list for NIFT admission for 20 campuses nationwide is determined by the candidates’ performance in these stages. Yes, a diploma holder in Computer Engineering can apply for the NIFT entrance exam , but only through the lateral entry route.
NIFT allows candidates with a 3-year or 4-year engineering diploma from a recognized board to apply for B.F.Tech (Fashion Technology) through lateral entry. The diploma must be approved by AICTE or the State Technical Board.
The age limit is usually 24 years for the general category.
So yes, you are eligible, as Computer Engineering is an engineering diploma.
