Since you have not mentioned your category than i am assuming you as a general category student . 1196 rank is quite descent but seeing previous year trends and cutoff for general category students its really tough to secure a seat in 1st or 2nd round of counselling but still hope is there :)

As we all know that there are very few good colleges for designing in India and FDDi is one them and we all know that seats in FDDI campuse have increased in this session. So if you have a stream preference then its quite tough for you to get into that particular stream in FDDI Noida but if you are willing to get into any stream then you will get a seat in FDDI Noida campus. , F.D.D.I, NOIDA u Need to Secure Rank Around, A.I.R- 1 To 500 For Footwear, Leather, Fashion(Design Aptitude test)

And For Retail And Merchandising(Business Aptitude test) U will have to Fetch Around 1 k, For (GEN)

For O.B.C, U can get Design branches up to 1 K Rank And For Retail U should get it on Even 2 -K rank.

For SC/S.T trend is Slightly Lower than Above two Category.

Hello Aspirant, For FDDI in noida campus last year cutoff for the general rank is 1 to 500 and for OBC it is upto 1000. But dont loose hope your rank is almost near the cutoff. So you should have to go for counselling. There may be chances you can get college.

I'm sorry to say that you be getting a chance in FDDI Noida. You still have chances of getting into other FDDI campuses like Kolkata , Chennai or other campuses like Rohtak, Chandigarh etc. Also check the last merit rank of 2018.

Firstly congratulations for your rank. It's great.Now if you are from the general category you might not be eligible for FDDI Noida but if you are from any of the reserved categories you still have a chance of getting the Noida campus. But u have chances of getting into other FDDI campuses. All total there are 12 campuses now but the cut off rank required for Noida campus must be below 500. 

For fashion designing you can also look into other institutions like NIFT and NID which really appreciable for the course. Now you just have to wait for the counselling.

Eligibility for Bachelor Degree (B.Des) programmes : Aspirants who have passed or appeared in 10+2/ qualifying examinations in the academic year 2019–20 in any stream from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or their equivalent. • Candidates yet to appear for their Higher Secondary examination are eligible to apply, but they have to produce proof of having appeared for the examination during the Counseling process of FDDI programmes Eligibility for Master Degree programmes M. Des. – Footwear Design & Production & M.Des- CAD Bachelor Degree in Footwear/Leather/fashion/Fine arts/Architecture/Engineering. M.B.A (Retail & Fashion Merchandise) : Bachelor Degree in any discipline The candidate shall submit the final result of qualifying degree/certificate providing his/ her eligibility on or before 30th September, 2019 to their Admission Officer, where the admission has been granted. A candidate not able to prove his/her eligibility on or before 30th September, 2019, for whatsoever reason, his/her admission will be treated as null and void (cancelled) and entire fee will be forfeited. No minimum percentage in graduation is specified anywhere so I guess 48% wont affect your chances (ASfar as I know). As far as I know there are about 600 seats in FDDI including all the branches(MDes and MBA) so you will get admission in FDDI easily.
