About CEED 2026

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay will release the CEED notification 2026 online at its official website. The notification for CEED entrance exam will be released in October 2025 tentatively at ceed.iitb.ac.in. The CEED information brochure along with the CEED 2026 schedule will be released through this notification for CEED exam 2026. Design aspirants can check the CEED notification 2026 as it contains the registration information, CEED application form dates, CEED entrance exam 2026 date, application fee, CEED exam pattern along with syllabus. The CEED 2026 participating institutes will also be listed online that accept the scores of .CEED 2026 entrance exam. 

The CEED 2026 exam comprises of two parts - A & B. The CEED Part-A is a computer-based test where as Part B is the pen and paper mode based test. The CEED exam 2026 will be held in January tentatively. The CEED 2026 admissions are offered to the design aspirants for pursuing their post-graduation. Candidates can also check the CEED courses offered. The list of CEED participating institutes will also be made available on the CEED web portal. The CEED 2026 counselling will take place according to the participating colleges as per their schedule.

About the CEED 2026 exam 

CEED full form stands for Common Entrance Exam for Design which is a national level examination conducted by IIT Bombay for postgraduate design admissions into various institutions. CEED score is accepted by many various colleges offering MDes programmes.  CEED exam 2026 comprises of two parts such as Part A which is for 150 marks, and Part-B for 100 marks. 

CEED part A consists of numerical answer type questions, objective type questions, multiple choice questions,  while Part B consists of 5 questions. The weightage of CEED part A and part B are 25% and 75% respectively. Candidates who are interested in M.Des design course in IITs need to appear for CEED entrance exam 2026 and attain the required cutoff to get admission in desired course.

Candidates aspiring to apply for the CEED 2026 exam need to satisfy the CEED exam eligibility criteria specified by the conducting body. Candidates can check the CEED eligibility criteria 2026 from the list below: 

  • Applicants must have completed a graduate degree/diploma/postgraduate degree of minimum 3 years after intermediate or 12th standard are eligible for CEED exam. 

  • Students who are appearing for the final year examination are also eligible to apply for the exam, but the programme should be completed by July 2026. 

  • Candidates who qualified the GD arts diploma programme (10+5) by July 2025 of the academic year. 

  • There is no age limit to appear for CEED exam.

  •  A candidate can appear for CEED test any number of times.

Note: The eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes may differ from those who are appearing for CEED exam. Before applying for CEED, candidates must check whether they meet the required eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes. There is no age limit to appear for CEED entrance exam. Also, a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times.

IIT Bombay CEED application form will be released on October 1, 2025 tentatively. The last date to submit the CEED application form will be November 2025 as expected date. Candidates are advised check the eligibility criteria of CEED 2026 exam before filling the CEED application form. CEED exam pattern 2026 will be prescribed by the conducting body, IIT Bombay at ceed.iitb.ac.in. With the help of the CEED 2026 exam pattern, candidates need to familiarise themselves with the CEED syllabus. The CEED entrance exam 2026 consists of two parts. CEED exam 2026 Part A is a computer based test and part B is the pen and paper mode. Candidates can know the details like type of question asked in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, topics and sections included in the exam, duration of the exam and many more.

CEED Part A contains three types of questions such as Numerical Answer Type (NAT),  Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), and Multiple Select Question (MSQ).  CEED part A question papers consists of following topics such as:

Candidates preparing for CEED (common entrance examination for design) need to make a strategic study plan to crack the exam easily. Candidates can check the below tips to prepare well for the exam.

Students who completed the CEED registration by paying the application fee before the last date will be able to view and download the CEED hall ticket. To download the CEED admit card 2026, candidates need to use their login credentials created during the registration for CEED 2026 entrance exam. Aspirants to carry the admit card along with the CEED exam centre to avoid the inconvenience. 

How to download the CEED 2026 admit card? 

Candidates who successfully complete the CEED 2026 registration form will be able to download the CEED hall ticket by following the below steps:

  • Go to the CEED official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in.

  • Find and click the ‘CEED admit card 2026’ tab 

  • Use the login credentials such as registered email id and password

  • The screen will be displayed with CEED admit card 

  • Take 2-3 copies of the CEED admit card for further references. 

The authorities at IIT Bombay will release the CEED provisional answer key for Part-A in January 2026.  The CEED 2026 draft answer key will be released on its official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in. After the release of the CEED 2026 answer key, the authorities will release the objection window. 

The CEED 2026 answer key is an essential resource for candidates who appear for the CEED entrance exam 2026. After the release of the CEED final answer key, the authorities will declare the CEED results 2026. 

IIT Bombay will declare the CEED results in March 2026 tentatively. To view the CEED exam 2026 result, candidates need to use their login credentials such as valid email address and password. Candidates have to download their score card that will be released at the official website of CEED.The CEED result 2026 will be valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration. The CEED 2026 entrance exam score is a gateway to many prestigious institutions offering design programmes. 

How to check the CEED 2026 result ? 

To download the CEED result 2026, aspirants need to follow the below steps:

  • Navigate to the official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in or the candidate portal.
  • Find and select the ‘check CEED result’

IIT Bombay will release the CEED cutoff marks 2026 at ceed.iitb.ac.in in February tentatively. The CEED 2026 cutoff marks for Part-A will be in the form of mean and standard deviation respectively. The CEED cutoff is the minimum score that determines the eligibility of the candidate for admission for the design programme in the top design institution.
