NID is a four year program. But if you join NID after your diploma then you will clear it under 3 years.

After diploma students join NID in 2 year. They have already study all the things in their diploma so they don't need to study that thinks

Yes, you can apply. The eligibility criteria to pursue M.Des in NID/ NIFT is

Candidates must have successfully completed any of the following:

  • Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognized by law in India or

  • Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT

It would be tough to tell you the exact number but Around 20,000 students appear every year for the National level Design Entrance exam for a total of 100 undergraduate seats. You can also check its cutoff & seat matrix with the given below link.

Yes, Science students can apply. To apply for appearing in NID entrance exam, aspirants must have passed or will be appearing for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year from any recognised board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, or their equivalent.

For undergraduate admissions, only candidates up to 20 years of age on or before June 30 of the admission year are eligible to apply (relaxable by three years for candidates belonging to reserved category).
