NIIFT Admission Criteria 2025
For undergraduate courses, the authorities conduct the NIIFT entrance exam, which is followed by situation test and interview. Final Merit of marks will be compiled on the weightage based on Examination.
Weight age of written Examination, Situation Test and Interview (Not applicable for 2025-26)
- Written exam: 60% weightage of 125 marks
- Situation Test: 20% weightage of 20 marks
- Interview: 20% weight age of 20 Marks.

Exam conducting authority has released the NIIFT 2025 eligibility criteria in the official brochure. The eligibility criteria include the requirements that candidates have to meet to be eligible for admission.
NIIFT 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Courses
Should have passed class 12 in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi OR
General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri- Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level or Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system OR
A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects or 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education

NIIFT Application Form 2025
The NIIFT 2025 application form is open till July 15, 2025. Candidates can fill the application form online. Along with submitting the required details and documents, aspirants also have to pay a non-refundable NIIFT 2025 registration fee of Rs. 1750 (Rs. 440 for SC/ST /PHP Category candidates).

Candidates must complete initial registration to generate login credentials. Next, the application details must be filled in as per the requirement.

NIIFT Merit List 2025
Final merit will be compiled on the basis of all the three levels of the test - entrance exam, situation test and interview. The authorities will create a common merit list for General and Reserved categories /sub categories ( if applicable ) candidates.
Weight age of Written Examination, Situation Test and Interview
Written exam: 60% weightage of 125 marks
Situation Test: 20% weightage of 20 marks
Interview: 20% weight age of 20 Marks.
NIIFT 2025: Tie-breaking rule
In case two or more candidates secures same score, the rank of the candidate in the merit list securing equal marks will be in accordance with the following criteria:
The candidate securing higher aggregate percentage marks in qualifying examination shall be taken higher rank in order of merit
In case a tie still exists, the candidate senior in age shall rank in order of merit.
NIIFT Counselling 2025
The authorities have released the NIIFT 2025 provisional call letter on the official website applyadmission.net/niiftmohali2025. Candidates can download the call letter using their application number, date of birth and registered email id. The NIIFT 2025 admissions will be done as pe the reservation criteria.

Getting admission in IITs or NID for BDes depends on a few things: your entrance exam score, portfolio, and sometimes your interview performance.

IITs (for BDes) : Admission is mainly through UCEED . You need a good rank in UCEED to get in.

NID : Admission is through NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) . Your portfolio and DAT score matter a lot.
