NIIFT Full Form

The full form of NIIFT is Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology. The authorities conduct the entrance exam for admissions in all Undergraduate Programmes offered by NIIFT. However, this year the admissions are being done on first-come, first-serve basis without entrance exams.

NIIFT Exam Date 2025

The authorities have not announced the NIIFT 2025 exam date. As per the notification released by the institute, the NIIFT 2025 entrance exam will not be conducted. Candidates will be admitted based on first-come first serve basis.

Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology offers design courses in both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Candidates are required to qualify the NIIFT 2024 entrance examination to get admission to NIIFT courses. List of NIIFT courses 2024 are as follows:

NIIFT Admission Criteria 2025

For undergraduate courses, the authorities conduct the NIIFT entrance exam, which is followed by situation test and interview. Final Merit of marks will be compiled on the weightage based on Examination.

Weight age of written Examination, Situation Test and Interview (Not applicable for 2025-26)

• Written exam: 60% weightage of 125 marks
• Situation Test: 20% weightage of 20 marks
• Interview: 20% weight age of 20 Marks.

NIIFT Eligibility Criteria 2025

Exam conducting authority has released the NIIFT 2025 eligibility criteria in the official brochure. The eligibility criteria include the requirements that candidates have to meet to be eligible for admission.

NIIFT 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Courses

• Should have passed class 12 in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi OR

• General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri- Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level or Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system OR

• A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects or 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education

• B.Sc/ B.Tech/ B.E or

• B.Com/ BBA/ BCA/B.A/ B.Des with any one of the following subjects: Economics/Statistics/ Management / Marketing / Mathematics /Textiles/ Fashion/ Accounts/ Computers / Home

• Science /any other related Diploma

NIIFT Application Form 2025

The NIIFT 2025 application form is open till July 15, 2025. Candidates can fill the application form online. Along with submitting the required details and documents, aspirants also have to pay a non-refundable NIIFT 2025 registration fee of Rs. 1750 (Rs. 440 for SC/ST /PHP Category candidates).

Steps to apply for NIIFT 2025

To begin with, candidates have to visit the NIIFT 2025 official website - applyadmission.net/niiftmohali2025 and click on the link to fill NIIFT application form 2025. Candidates must complete initial registration to generate login credentials. Next, the application details must be filled in as per the requirement.

Before starting with preparation, candidates are advised to check NIIFT 2025 exam pattern to know the mode and types of questions asked in the entrance exam. The authorities release the exam pattern of NIIFT through a brochure.

Candidates will be able to check the result of NIIFT 2025 from the official website. To download the NIIFT 2025 result, candidates will have to follow the below given steps:

• Visit the official website

• Click on the link to download NIIFT entrance exam result

• Login using the application number and password

• Upon successful login, the NIIFT exam result 2025 will be displayed on the screen

• Download and take a printout of the same.

NIIFT Merit List 2025

Final merit will be compiled on the basis of all the three levels of the test - entrance exam, situation test and interview. The authorities will create a common merit list for General and Reserved categories /sub categories ( if applicable ) candidates.

NIIFT 2025: Tie-breaking rule

In case two or more candidates secures same score, the rank of the candidate in the merit list securing equal marks will be in accordance with the following criteria:

• The candidate securing higher aggregate percentage marks in qualifying examination shall be taken higher rank in order of merit

• In case a tie still exists, the candidate senior in age shall rank in order of merit.

NIIFT Counselling 2025

The authorities have released the NIIFT 2025 provisional call letter on the official website applyadmission.net/niiftmohali2025. Candidates can download the call letter using their application number, date of birth and registered email id. The NIIFT 2025 admissions will be done as pe the reservation criteria.
