Vellore Institute of Technology offers a 4-year full-time Bachelor of Design programme in the field of industrial design. The authorities will release the VIT DAT exam 2025 dates at vit.ac.in. The VIT DAT exam 2025 is for the students who do not have a valid UCEED score.
A merit list will be prepared by the institute on the basis of 10+2 marks and valid UCEED score or 10+2 marks and performance in VIT-DAT score

Candidates must check the VIT DAT 2025 eligibility criteria before filling out the DAT application form. The candidate must be a resident of Indian National or a Non- resident India National. Candidates born on or after July 1, 2003 are eligible to apply for the BDes programme for the 2025 academic year. VIT DAT is the exam for candidates who have not attended UCEED exams or not having valid UCEED score or are disqualified in UCEED. The selection process consists of three stages:

No negative marking will be there for wrong answers

Portfolio review
Candidates need to present their original creative works like sketching, drawing, painting, craft works, and photography, etc.

The last and final round be will be personal interview

The results of shortlisted candidates will be announced vit.ac.in. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The candidates will receive an invitation for the online counselling process. However, the online counselling invitation does not guarantee a seat. The seat allotment will be determined by the candidate’s rank, along with the availability of the seats. Candidates must ensure that they meet all the eligibility requirements. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.
