The Department of Design at IIT Delhi has introduced a four-year undergraduate course “BTech in design” from 2025-26. IIT Delhi BTech in Design: Eligibility Criteria

The students must fulfil certain eligibility for getting admission into BTech in Design IIT Delhi. The BTech in design eligibility criteria will be released by the institution soon. The students will also need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced and UCEED exam in order to fulfil the BTech in Design eligibility criteria.

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria

In order to fulfil the BTech in design eligibility criteria the students should be eligible for JEE Advanced. Based on the ranks of JEE advanced students will get IIT Delhi BTech in Design admission. Candidates can below check JEE Advanced eligibility criteria.

  • The students must have appeared the 10 + 2 exam with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects in the year 2024 or 2025.

  • The students must have scored 75% if they are General or OBC to be eligible for the JEE advanced exam. There is a 10% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

  • The students must have qualified the JEE Main paper 1.

  • The candidates must have been born after October 1, 2000. There is a 5 year relaxation for SC, ST and PWD candidates.

  • The candidates can appear JEE advanced only for two consecutive years.

UCEED Eligibility Criteria

As stated earlier the students must qualify UCEED in order to get IIT Delhi BTech in Design admission. The UCEED exam eligibility is:

  • The students must have finished the final exams of 10 + 2 education from any recognised institution.

  • The students must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. There is a 5-year relaxation for SC , ST and PWD candidates.

  • The students will be allowed to appear the UCEED entrance exam only twice for maximum. That to the students must not that they must appear twice in consecutive years.
