KS DAT Entrance Exam 2025: Counselling Registration (Open), Seat Allotment, Result Out, Cutoff

The authority has released the revised rank list for KS DAT 2025 on July 11, 2025. Earlier, the KS DAT results 2025 were declared on July 5, 2025, on the official website. The KS DAT result 2025 has been released in the form of a rank list. The KS DAT rank list for B.Des admission will be released on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates in the KS DAT examination. The candidates who have scored marks above zero will be included in the KS DAT rank list and will be eligible for admissions into B.Des programmes.

Steps to Download KS DAT Result 2025

The steps to download KS DAT 2025 rank list are given below -

• The result of KS DAT 2025 will be displayed on the screen
• Download and save the result for future reference

The candidates who had enrolled in the B.Des programme had checked the KS DAT eligibility before applying for the KS DAT exam. The authorities have not specified any age limit to apply for the KS DAT examination. Although, candidates must check the eligibility criteria mentioned below.

Academic Qualification for KS DAT 2025

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 from the board of HSE Kerala or an equivalent approved by KTU with the minimum marks mentioned by AICTE.
• Candidates must have obtained at least 45% in the qualifying examination, whereas for the reservation category it is 40%, or must have passed the D.Voc stream from the same or allotted sector.

Nativity

• Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for admission to the BDes programme.
• The Overseas Citizen of India Cardholder (including PIO cardholder) will be eligible for admission as per NRI (Non-Resident Indian) seat availability or the supernumerary seat.
• Candidates are categorized into Keralite, Non-Keralite Category-I (NK-I) and Non-Keralite Category-II (NK-II).

Keralite

A candidate of Kerala origin is categorized as “Keralite”. Children of AIS (All India Service) officers (Non-Keralites) assigned to Kerala Cadre are considered as a “Keralite”. But these candidates are not eligible for Communal/ Special/ Persons with Disabilities reservation or any fee concession.

Non-Keralite Category-I (NK-I) 

A candidate who is not from the Kerala origin but fulfils any one of the following eligibility criteria will be considered as Non-Keralite Category-I (NK-I).

• Candidates who have completed their qualifying course in Kerala and who is the son or daughter of Non-Keralite parents belonging to the Govt. of India or defence service, posted in Kerala.
• Candidate who completed their qualifying course in Kerala and who is the son or daughter of Non-Keralite parents who have been serving or have served the Govt. of Kerala for minimum 2 years.
• Candidate who is not from the origin of Kerala but is resident of Kerala for 5 years within the period of 12 years of his or her study.
• Candidates who are not from Kerala but completed their studies in Kerala from 8th standard to 10th.  
• Non-Keralite candidates of Category-I are considered against the “State Merit” seats, but are not eligible for Communal or Special or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) reservation or any fee concession.

Non-Keralite Category-II (NK-II)

Candidates can check the eligibility for NK-II mentioned below.

• Candidates who do not come under “Keralite” or “Non-Keralite Category-I” come under Non-Keralite Category-II (NK-II).
• The Non-Keralite Category-II (NK-II) candidates are eligible for KS DAT B.Des admission into the Government and the management quota seats in Govt. controlled self-financing colleges.
• These candidates are considered for the admission to the Government seats of BDes programme in Government cost-sharing colleges only when the Keralite and NK-I are not available for admission.
• These candidates are eligible for admission to both Govt and Management quota seats in private self-financing colleges.
• The Non-Keralite Category-II (NK-II) candidates won’t be eligible for Communal or Special or Persons with Disabilities category reservation or any fee concession.

The Director of Technical Education (DTE), Thiruvananthapuram, announced the KS DAT application form date at lbsapplications.kerala.gov.in/ksdat2025. The KS DAT registration process started on April 10. The last date to submit the KS DAT application form 2025 was closed on June 15, 2025. Interested candidates could fill out the KS DAT 2025 registration form. Candidates can check the below steps to download the KS DAT application form 2025.

How to Apply for KS DAT Exam

• Visit lbsapplications.kerala.gov.in/ksdat2025
• Click on “New Registration” and fill in the details.
• After successfully updating the details, click on the “Save & Continue” button.
• Pay the KS DAT 2025 application fee online using credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
• Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature, all in JPEG format. All the certificates and documents in support of various claims made in the KS DAT 2025 application form had to be uploaded. Nativity proof and proof of date of birth are mandatory.
• After successful completion of uploading certificates, candidates have to take a printout of the confirmation page from the online application for future purposes.

The LBS Centre for Science and Technology released the KS DAT exam pattern along with the marking scheme in the official brochure. Candidates who are appearing for the KS DAT exam must know about the KS DAT question paper pattern, marking scheme, and duration of the KS DAT exam. Knowing the KS DAT exam pattern helps the candidates to score well. 

Candidates can check the KS DAT 2025 exam pattern below. Candidates will be asked the questions related to the below topics:

• General Knowledge
• English Language
• Design Awareness
• Social and Basic Sciences (10th Class)
• Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude.

The marking scheme of the KS DAT exam is that one mark will be allotted to the candidates for each correct answer. The types of questions asked in the KS DAT examination are multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The duration of KS DAT is 100 minutes (1 hr 40 minutes).

The LBS Centre for Science and Technology released the KS DAT admit card 2025 at lbsapplications.kerala.gov.in/ksdat2025. Candidates who successfully registered can download the KS DAT 2025 admit card. Candidates must use their login credentials, such as email address and password, to download the KS DAT 2025 hall ticket. The KS DAT admit card will not be sent by post. To download the admit card, candidates must refer to the below steps.

• Visit “lbscentre.kerala.gov” and lbsapplications.kerala.gov.in/ksdat2025/
• Log in to the dashboard and enter the valid login credentials, such as email address and password.
• Click on the “KS DAT Admit Card Download” link.
• Download and take a printout of the KS DAT admit card 2025 for further admission processes.

The LBS Centre for Science and Technology released the KS DAT answer key on June 29. Candidates who appeared on the KS DAT entrance exam can download the answer key in online at lbsapplications.kerala.gov.in. The KS DAT answer key was released in the form of a PDF.

• Go to the official site, lbsapplications.kerala.gov.in.
• Find and click on the "Answer Key for Exam Conducted on 29-06-2025" link.
• It will redirect to the other page.
• From there, you can download the KS DAT answer key PDF

Complaints, if any, from the candidates regarding the KS DAT 2025 answer keys, with valid proof, may be sent to the email address lbscentre@gmail.com in the prescribed format before 5 PM within 3 calendar days from the date of publication of the KS DAT exam answer keys. Complaints not substantiated with supporting documents will not be considered.

he KS DAT 2025 seat allotment for the first round of counselling has been published on July 11, 2025. DTE Kerala earlier opened the KS DAT 2025 counselling registration on July 7, 2025. Candidates can register their options for KS DAT counselling 2025 till July 10, 2025, from the official website through their login. T Candidates will be offered admissions into the BDes programme of participating colleges in Kerala. The KS DAT 2025 counselling allotment will be based on the candidate's rank and college preferences.
