Admission to the postgraduate design programmes at the result-sharing institutes is done based on the scores of the CEED exam. Before proceeding to apply to the CEED 2027 result-sharing institutes, the applicants need to thoroughly study the required eligibility criteria of that particular institute.
Currently, there are 11 main IITs participating in the CEED exam. They are listed as IISc, Bengaluru, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IIITDM Kancheepuram. Aspirants who want to study design courses at these IITs must take the CEED 2027 exam. The CEED 2027 score will be valid for one year from the date the result is declared for the 2027 session.
The eligibility criteria for admission to the MDes programmes at various IITs are provided below.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree/diploma/post graduate degree of a minimum of 3 years after their 10+2
(or)
Must be appearing for the final examination of the academic qualification by July 2027
(or)
Must have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2027 of the academic year.
There is no prescribed age limit for the candidates to appear for the CEED 2027 exam.
Also, a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times.
Entrance Exam: Aspirants who obtained the qualifying rank or score in CEED 2027 are eligible to apply for admission to the result-sharing institute.
Qualifying examination: The qualifying exam required is the same as the CEED 2027 eligibility criteria. Provided below in the table are the qualification eligibility requirements as laid down by each campus.
