Question : Case Study 28: XYZ Corporation

XYZ Corporation, a multinational company, is looking to implement decentralization to enhance its decision-making process.

Question:

Decentralization involves:

Option 1: Concentrating decision-making at the top

Option 2: Distributing decision-making throughout the organization

Option 3: Eliminating cross-functional teams

Option 4: Reducing employee empowerment

Team Careers360 10th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: Distributing decision-making throughout the organization

Solution : The correct answer is (b) Distributing decision-making throughout the organization

Decentralization involves distributing decision-making authority throughout the organization rather than concentrating it at the top. This means delegating decision-making powers to lower levels of the organization, allowing various departments or units to have more autonomy and make decisions that align with their responsibilities and expertise. Decentralization promotes a sense of ownership and empowerment among employees at different levels, leading to a more efficient and responsive decision-making process.

Question : A high credit rating for a company indicates:

Option 1: Higher default risk

Option 2: Lower borrowing cost

Option 3: Reduced profitability

Option 4: Decreased liquidity

Team Careers360 6th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: Lower borrowing cost

Solution : The correct answer is (b) Lower borrowing cost

A high credit rating for a company indicates a lower borrowing cost. Credit rating agencies assess the creditworthiness of companies and assign credit ratings based on their evaluation of the company's ability to meet its financial obligations. A lower borrowing cost is a key benefit of having a high credit rating. It allows the company to access debt financing at more favorable terms, including lower interest rates and fees. This, in turn, reduces the company's overall cost of borrowing, making it more affordable for the company to raise funds through debt.

During nift entrance exam do we have to give both GAT (general apptitude test) as well as CAT (creative ability test) for Fasion designing ?

Akansha Sharma 21st Dec, 2024

Yes, for the NIFT entrance exam in Fashion Designing, you are required to give both the GAT (General Aptitude Test) and the CAT (Creative Ability Test). The GAT assesses your general knowledge, quantitative ability, and reasoning skills, while the CAT evaluates your creative skills, including drawing and visualization. Both tests are essential for admission, as they help assess both your aptitude for fashion design and your creative capabilities.
