I have scored 66.94 percentile in MHT-CET and my cast is NT-D And I want AIML branch in which college of mumbai Do i get this

Pradeepa P 3rd Jul, 2025

With a 66.94 percentile in MHT-CET under the NT-D category , securing a seat in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) in top government engineering colleges in Mumbai is unlikely , as the cutoffs for such branches usually fall above 90 percentile , even for reserved categories. For instance, COEP Pune typically closes around rank 12,000 for NT-D, and similarly ranked Mumbai colleges have closing ranks within the top 15,000 to 18,000 range.

However, you may have a better chance in private or minority private engineering colleges in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, where NT-D cutoffs for AIML may fall between 20,000 and 50,000 ranks , especially in later rounds.

i got 91.63 in mht cet and i am from nt-c catagory. I am from kolhapur. i cant understand what should i do choose RIT islampur or go to pune/mumbai ? Because i cant afford pune and mumbai . Tell me is RIT good or i should get a good college than this in mumbai /pune

Pradeepa P 3rd Jul, 2025

With 91.63 percentile in MHT-CET and NT-C reservation , you have a good chance of getting core branches like Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil in Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), Islampur , and possibly Electronics or Computer-related branches in later rounds.

If affordability is a concern and you want a reputed college closer to home , RIT Islampur is a very good option . Unless you get full support or scholarship in Pune/Mumbai colleges, going for RIT is the more practical and balanced decision .

Devanshi Goyal 11th Jul, 2025

HELLO,

To determine the marks required for SC/BC open students at as specific college for a particular course , you will need to specify the college or for a particular course you have to specify the college and course .

General guidelines suggest that for open category students need a minimum of 80% for Delhi University off Campus BA programs while honors courses could require upwards of 90%

Hope that Helps!

I have Got Compartment in one subject of class 12 but want to apply for CAP counselling of MHTCET but the website is showing I cannot move forward in the registration process of counselling due to my compartment, what do I do?

gopi 3rd Jul, 2025

Hello Vaibhav,

If you have been assigned compartment in one of your Class 12 subjects, unfortunately, you are not eligible to apply to CAP counselling for MHT CET. Under DTE Maharashtra clauses, candidates must not have any subjects remaining in their qualifying exam. Here is what you can do:

  1. Take the Compartment Exam and pass it.
  2. Continue to check the official CAP schedule, there may be a chance for additional rounds or vacant seat rounds later during the CAP counselling where you may apply after passing your compartment.
  3. Use the CET Cell Helpline to ask for modifications or special consideration (if applicable) for students with pending compartment results.

Keep your documents ready and keep tab of official announcements to avoid missing deadlines.

Is adhar card is not required for ap eapcet councelling

Ayush Madanpotra 2nd Jul, 2025

Yes, Aadhaar card is required for AP EAPCET counselling. It is used for identity verification during the document process. If you don’t have the Aadhaar card, at least the acknowledgement slip from Aadhaar enrollment is needed. Make sure your Aadhaar details match your application. This is important for biometric verification and admission approval.

With 86% in Mht Cet Pcm group, any chances to get KJ Somaiya in cap rounds for cs and interdisciplinaries?

gopi 2nd Jul, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

With your MHT CET score of 86% (PCM group), your potential admission into KJ Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology (KJSIEIT) or KJ Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE) during the CAP rounds will depend upon the cut-off trends from previous years. For computer science and interdisciplinary branches (IT, AI/DS, etc.), the cutoffs tend to be high for open category students. Here is a rough guide.

  • KJSCE (Autonomous) Vidyavihar Campus: CSE and allied branches tend to close around 99-97 percentile especially for general/open category.
  • KJSIEIT Sion Campus: Your chances may be better here. Interdisciplinary branches like Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, or Cyber Security may go down to 85-90 percentile, especially in later CAP rounds or for reserved categories.

Sir I have 89.27% in mhtcet what rank should I get and which branch i should prefer at 89.27%

OISHEE BANERJEE 1st Jul, 2025

Hello aspirant,
With 89.27 percentile in MHT CET, your expected rank would be around 35,000 to 45,000, though it can slightly vary depending on the shift and paper difficulty. At this rank, getting top branches like CSE or IT in top-tier colleges might be tough, but you still have decent chances for ECE, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or even CSE/IT in mid-tier or private colleges.

If you are interested in coding or software, you can still go for CSE or IT in colleges like PCCOE, JSPM, or DY Patil Akurdi. If you’re open to core branches, Mechanical, ECE, or Electrical are solid options with good placement potential, especially if you’re planning for higher studies or government exams later.

Here is some more information:

G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering:

The college offers admissions up to 85 percentile for computer science engineering and 55 percentile for civil engineering, according to an education website.

Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management:

I got 95 percentile in mht cet pcb stream could i get b pharm in ICT mumbai . What are the chances and what should be my second preference

Afreen 30th Jun, 2025

With a 95 percentile in MHT CET (PCB), getting into B.Pharm at ICT Mumbai is unlikely, but not impossible. ICT Mumbai's B.Pharm cutoff is typically higher, often requiring a percentile above 97, especially for general category students,However, there's still a chance in later CAP rounds, especially if the program has a lower closing rank. You should consider other reputable colleges as your second preference, such as Bombay College of Pharmacy, SVKM's Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy, or other government colleges.

Chances of getting into ICT Mumbai:

General Category:

A 95 percentile is likely below the cutoff for direct admission to B.Pharm in ICT Mumbai, especially in the initial CAP rounds.

Other Categories:

If you belong to a reserved category, your chances might be slightly better, but still, a 95 percentile is on the lower side.

Later CAP Rounds:

It's possible to get into ICT Mumbai in the later CAP rounds if some seats remain vacant, especially in programs with lower demand, like Food Engineering or Dyestuff Technology.

Recommended Second Preference Colleges:

Bombay College of Pharmacy: This is a well-regarded college with a good reputation for its B.Pharm program.

SVKM's Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy: Another reputable institution with a strong B.Pharm program.

Government College of Pharmacy, Amravati/Aurangabad/Karad: These are government colleges with a good standing in pharmacy education.

Other good private colleges: Consider colleges like H.K. College of Pharmacy or Ideal Institute of Pharmacy.

Tips for Admission:

Apply to all possible colleges:

Don't limit yourself to just ICT Mumbai. Apply to all the colleges that match your preferences and percentile.

Participate in all CAP rounds:

Ensure you participate in all the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds to maximize your chances.

Prepare for counseling:

Familiarize yourself with the counseling process and keep all your documents ready.

Explore other options:

If you are open to it, explore other related fields like Food Engineering or Dyestuff Technology at ICT Mumbai or other institutions,
