BEST REGARDS
(1) MHT CET 96.47 percentile and JEE Mains 89.10 percentile – can you get admission in KJ Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE)? Yes, with 96.47 percentile in MHT CET and 89.10 percentile in JEE Mains, your chances of getting admission in KJSCE are good, especially in branches like IT, E&TC, Mechanical, etc. For CSE, cutoff might go slightly higher, but you still have a fair chance depending on the branch preferences and category.
(2) You submitted your form for all specializations – is your admission possible? Yes. Since you have applied for all branches through KJSCE’s institutional quota form (from their own website), you are already in their admission process. If your merit rank fits in their cutoff during rounds, you can get admission.
(3) What is the difference between KJSCE and KJSIT? Which one is better? KJSCE: K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering KJSIT: K. J. Somaiya Institute of Technology
Both are part of Somaiya group but KJSCE is autonomous and located at Vidyavihar, while KJSIT is at Sion and comes under Mumbai University.
KJSCE is considered better in terms of ranking, placements, teaching quality, and student crowd. It is the more preferred option.
(4) You applied for KJSCE from their website. Does KJSIT also need separate registration? Yes. KJSIT admissions are done through the CAP round (MHT CET CAP). If you have already participated in CAP, you can get KJSIT through the CAP itself. But KJSIT also sometimes opens its own institute level admission, for which you may need to register separately if you want to try that.

With a 95.46 percentile in MHT CET 2025 as an Outside Maharashtra candidate , admission to COEP Pune and PICT Pune is very unlikely , even in lower-demand branches.
Both colleges have high cutoffs for OMS candidates, usually above 97 to 99 percentile , especially for Computer Science and IT.
You should consider other top private colleges in Pune or Mumbai like MIT WPU , PCCOE , or DY Patil , where your percentile can get you a good branch.
Participate actively in all counselling rounds, including spot rounds, for better chances.
Hello Aspirant,
No, admission into MBBS is not possible through MHT-CET, even if you have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Class 12. The MBBS course in India is strictly offered through the NEET-UG examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and it is the only valid entrance test for medical programs like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and other allied medical courses. MHT-CET is primarily used for admission into pharmacy, nursing, and engineering courses offered by institutes in Maharashtra. So, if you wish to pursue MBBS, you must appear for and qualify in the NEET-UG exam.
All the best for your future aspirations.
With an 81.6 percentile in MHT CET (OBC) , your estimated rank is around 19,000–32,000 , placing you in a middle bracket, not the very top, but still strong. Here are the top Pune engineering colleges where you are realistically in contention for Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering
Top Choice: PCCOE - strong placement prospects and good brand value
Second Tier: AISSMS – aim for Mechanical or Electrical
Safe Picks: SCOE and SAE – reliable backup options
Avoid COEP as admission is out of reach at this percentile
With an 89.06% score in MHT CET and belonging to the SC category, you have a good chance of securing admission to Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) branches in some Pune engineering colleges. You should aim for colleges like Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) Pune, or consider other options like PICT, or DJ Sanghvi (if you're open to Mumbai). Remember to participate actively in the MHT CET counseling process (CAP) and fill your choices carefully.
A 43 percent score may not help you get top branches or top colleges , but you can still pursue engineering in a decent institute. Focus on building your skills during the course for better career opportunities.
Hello aspirant, With 66 percentile in MHT CET (PCM group), your expected rank would be around 45,000 to 55,000. At this rank, you have a fair chance of getting admission to KBP College of Engineering, Satara, especially in core branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, which usually have slightly lower cutoffs. Getting Computer Science or IT may be tough unless you belong to a reserved category, in which case your chances improve significantly. It's important to participate in Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds, fill in KBP Satara as one of your top preferences, and stay active throughout all rounds including mop-up if needed.
