Editing of choices will be allowed before the start of CAP Round 2 or Round 3. The candidates will have to submit an application to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) where they have confirmed their admission through payment of fees.

No you can not u have a chance of filling your preference for colleges before cap round 1 and then u can edit preferences after 2nd round . Moreover, float and freeze option is not something you have to choose it would be a implied action. Refer brochure given on

Yes, you can confirm your seat in first round and then you can go for second round of counselling. You have to choose the Float option while completing your formalities.
