Dear student,
With an 88.97 percentile in MHT CET and an interest in Computer Science , it might be tough to get into Computer Engineering at Sanjivani College of Engineering, Kopargaon through the general round.
Last year, the cutoffs for Computer Engineering were above 92 percentile in all rounds. For Information Technology , the range was between 90.8 to 91.4 , which is still slightly above your score.
However, there’s a small chance for Electronics & Computer Engineering , which had a cutoff as low as 88.14 percentile in Round 1. Since you're slightly above that, you might get it if the cutoff drops a bit this year — though it’s not guaranteed.
Hello Aspirant,
Here's a general estimate of MHT CET percentile vs rank based on past trends (for the PCM group). Note that these are approximate and can vary each year depending on the difficulty level and number of candidates:

With a 64 percentile in MHT CET, you're in a good position for branches like CSE or AI or ML at a few reputable Pune colleges, even if the top tier ones might be tough to reach.
One solid option is Sharadchandra Pawar College of Engineering. In past years, CSE seats opened up around the 60th percentile, meaning your score comfortably places you within that range. It's a well known institute with decent placement records, especially for IT and allied branches.
Another option to consider is Sinhgad Institute of Technology & Science (SITS). They’ve historically offered CSE, IT, and ECE seats to students in your percentile zone. Their AI or ML specialization, though less common, sometimes becomes available in later rounds. The real strength here is how flexible they are during counselling once some seats start getting vacated.
Branches like CSE and AI or ML at better-known private colleges like PCCOE or MMCOE usually require a much higher percentile, often above 95, so those might be out of reach this time. But with your percentile, you're well positioned for SPCOE and SITS.
All the best!
Hi Atharv,
You have secured good percentile in MHT CET and with this your rank should fall between 19,000 to 24,000 meaning that you have exposure to few reputable colleges for mechanical engineering like Vishvakarma Institute of Technology in Pune, Government college of Amravati, SPCE Mumbai etc. The mechanical branch is not so competitive as much as CSE or AI/ML so you do have a chance in these colleges.
You can also refer to our official page for top colleges for mechanical engineering Maharashtra:

With 96 percentile in PCB , you’re positioned for quality B.Sc (Hons) programs, especially in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, B.Pharmacy , and Agricultural sciences .
With a 65 percentile in MHT-CET and 77% in Class 12 , you can get admission in the Material Science or Metallurgy branch in mid-tier private engineering colleges in Maharashtra.
DY Patil College of Engineering, Pune
Shivajirao Jondhale COE, Dombivli
Vidya Vardhini’s COE, Vasai
Sipna COE, Amravati
Dr. J.J. Magdum COE, Kolhapur
These colleges typically offer Material Science in later rounds of counselling. Entry into top-tier colleges like MIT-WPU Pune may not be possible in early rounds but can be considered in later rounds if vacancies arise.
