Yes you can take up Automobiles engineering from top colleges. Good scope is expected however very niche roles are offered. With Make In India program lifted up tgere will be better production and innovation in Automobiles industries and hence good demand expected. 

Also you need to have good functional expertise

Minimum 50%aggregate marks in 12th from recognised University and have appeared for PCM subjects is mandatory for MHTCET eligibility in General category .

For SC/ST/OBC, criterias relaxed to 45%.
