Both colleges are good however most preferred is KIT. The cutoff for KIT is higher when compared to DKTE if you check the first allotment that was announced recently. If you live there, I would suggest you go to check the colleges and talk to seniors there. Check the placement

Yes, ECE at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Engineering, Pune is good option as it has great placement record with highest placement of Rs.6.75 LPA.
