Yes, you are eligible to appear for NIFT exams.

As per the eligibility the maximum age should be 23 years as on 1st October, 2018. The upper age limit may be relaxed by  a  period  of  5  (five)  years  for  candidates  of  Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories. Yes, the candidates who are taking their boards examination or equivalent qualifying exam in 2019 are eligible to take the NIFT entrance test in 2019. Their admission will be provisionally based on you fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

Getting into NIFT has nothing to do with your boards % .It is hardly 50–60% that is really a low percentage.The main thing to focus on is your creativity level , decent drawing and fluency of speaking english. Your 12th board marks doesn't affect your admission in NIFT.
