how much mark I need to secure in UCEED to get into any of the three IITS , I am from genral category

Hello,

The cutoff (Minimum qualifying marks) for open category is :- 100. if you apply for any IIT campus located in your residential state then you can apply for home state quota. Cutoff rank for open category:- IIT Bombay (2- 21), IIT Guwahati (22-60), IIT Hyderabad:- (27-58)

Dear Student,

Students who are eligible to appear for the UCEED Examinations are  those who have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in the year 2020, or are appearing in 2021, in any stream such as Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities are eligible to appear for UCEED 2021.

Hey,

First of all congratulations to you for scoring such good marks in your entrance exam .

UCEED stands for Undergraduate Common Entrance exam for Design. It is an exam conducted for admission into design courses.

As your rank is pretty good so I believe you will definitely get a seat in any of the colleges under UCEED.

can i start preparing for uceed 2025 from now? and if yes then where should i start from ?

If you would tell currently what you are doing or in which class you are studying then I would be able to tell you the perfect time to prepare for uceed. First of all if you want to uceed you need to see sketches or designs of cars how they are made. See you tube videos.

HOW MANY SEATS FOR ST FEMALE CATEGORY IN UCEED

Hello.

There are no separate seats reserved for ST (Female) category in UCEED. They will come under ST category. For ST candidates, 7.5% seats are reserved. The distribution of available seats in Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes in each college for the academic year 2021-2022 are as follows:

  • IIT Bombay - 3 seats
  • IIT Guwahati - 4 seats
  • IIT Hyderabad - 1 seat
  • IIITDM Jabalpur - 5 seats

I got 31st (category rank) in uceed . Can I expect a seat in IDC ?

Hi Aspirant,

As per your rank and previous year cutoff, IIT Bombay cutoff for IDC School of design is 21 in first round if counselling.

Cutoff rank is 22 in second round of counselling.

And cutoff rank is 32 in third round of counselling. So, you have a chance to get this college if cutoff rank imgoes beyond 31.

i have SC rank of 74 in UCEED, which college can i get?

Hi Aspirant,

As per the last year's cutoff the cutoff for IITDM Jabalpur was 85 and above for general category .So being SC you can easily get there.You have also chance for IIT Guwahati and Hyderabad since the SC rank of those colleges stays around 70.

I just entered 12 th grade and i will be writing my 12 th boards in 2022 , when do i register for NID DAT and UCEED ?

Hello,

NID DAT is a pen paper-based exam, which is conducted in two stages for B.Des and M.Des. While Stage 1 is for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims and stage 2 is for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains.

  • So if you complete your 10+2 you can apply for the exam. The candidates who have passed 10+2 in any stream Arts, Science, Commerce, Humanities from any recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE, IB or equivalent are eligible to apply.

Now talking about UCEED

  • Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is conducted by IIT Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED .
  • According to the eligibility criteria of UCEED 2022, Open/ EWS/ OBC-NCL category candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1997. Whereas SC, ST or PwD category get the relaxation of five years.

Scholarship you can get for UG:

  • Institute MCM at IIT-B for annual Income less than 1 Lac(This is given to 25% of the students):

Women: Exemption from payment of Tuition fee. • Scholarship of Rs. 40,000/­ per year. • Women Merit Scholarship of Rs. 10,000/­ per year.

Others: Exemption from payment of Tuition fee. • Scholarship of Rs. 40,000/­ per year.

  • All SC/ST students are exempted from the payment of tuition fees.  The facilities of free messing will be granted to eligible SC/ST students of B.Tech., Dual Degee (B.Tech. + M.Tech.), B.S. and B.Des. Programme as detailed below. For Dual Degee students, it is available only upto  4th year.

FOR Girls (SC/ST having less than 5 LPA income):

Exemption from payment of Tuition fee. • Free messing facility (basic menu). • Pocket allowance @Rs. 500/­per month. • Exemption from payment of hostel room rent. • Women Merit Scholarship of Rs. 10,000/­ per year.

FOR Others (SC/ST having less than 5 LPA income):

Exemption from payment of Tuition fee. • Free messing facility (basic menu). • Pocket allowance @Rs. 500/­ per month • Exemption from payment of hostel room rent.
