Dear student,

The simple basic difference between UCCED and CEED is as follows :-

CEED is a examinationfor candidates seeking  admission in Master of Design (M.Des) programmes at IISc and iits. Also it is for getting admission in Phd programme in Design at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Kanpur.

UCEED is for candidates who wants admission to the Bachelor in Design (B. Des.) at - Indian Institute of Technology Bombay,  Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur, and other 22 result sharing institutes

Both exams are taken by IIT BOMBAY.

So, if you want B.des in interior designing course at iits or at any other result sharing institutes then you have to give UCEED exam.

Hello,

As your doubt about the uploading of the degree certificate for CEED registration form, if you haven't received your original degree certificate you may apply for the provisional certificate, this can be used untill the original certificate is received. So I suggest you to apply for your provisional certificate in your college, then you may upload your provisional certificate for the registration process.

Shivi Srivastava 1st Nov, 2020

Hi,

Dear Aspirant, if you have not received your provisional marksheet and your results of the last semester are out then you can upload the marksheet containing the marks of up to the last semester.

However if your results are not out then you may first check if it accepts the marksheet of the previous semesters or not, if it does then you may upload the marksheet of the last semester that you have.

If you have further queries, you can go to our site and post your queries here.

We will get back to you ASAP.

Hello, I recently completed my graduation, from NIFT Bangalore 2020 batch. I just recieved my online cms results for my final semester. I took a screenshot of that and uploaded it while filling the form. Will that work or is it going to create a problem?

Mrinalini Sarkar 11th Nov, 2020

Hello,

It is quite known to everyone about the current situation so it is not possible to get a hard copy of your Final semester result. So it is known by authorities as well that everything need to done online. Now you mentioned that you submitted a screenshot so that might be a problem instead I would say if you can download it then you should submit that as screenshots are normally not accepted as a replacement of documents.

Hope it helps.

Good luck.

As per instructions, Appendix I should be filled up and signed from the institution for the student who is to pass their qualifying exam in 2021. But the college is currently closed. Please elucidate how I can take the certificate from the Institute for processing my application.

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 25th Sep, 2020

Hey Souvik

If your college is closed right now then you can either reach out to your VC or any person from the administration like the Dean or Student CoOrdinators on their personal phone number or email ids and ask them if they can sign the application form on behalf of you. If that is not possible then the further steps will be explained by them as to how you can get the signature from the institution. All the best!
