What is the total fee structure B.A 1st semester to last semester in NEHU shillong

Nikita shahi 16th Jul, 2025

Hello,

For the B.A. course at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, the total fees from 1st to the last semester are generally affordable, as NEHU is a central university.

As per the latest information:

Semester-wise fees: Around 2,500 to 3,000 per semester this includes tuition, exam, and other basic fees. There are 6 semesters in total for the B.A. program 3 years. So, the total course fee is around 15,000 to 18,000 for all semesters combined. Some additional charges may apply for the library, ID card, or student union, but these are not very big amounts. But remember that the hostel, mess, and transport are separate and not included in this fee. Also, the fee may slightly vary depending on your subject combination, category (SC/ST/General), or any fee waiver/scholarship offered by the government.

You can confirm the latest fee structure from here,

All the best!

Can i give MHT-CET if i dont belong to Maharasthra and only lived there for 5 years ( Class 1 to 5) but my Dad provided his service there for 6 years (2011 to 2017) in Indian Coast Guard ( Defence )

Prachi Kumari 15th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can apply for MHT-CET even if you don’t belong to Maharashtra by birth or education, because you may be eligible under the Defence (DEF-1) category.

In your case:

1. Your father served in Maharashtra in the Indian Coast Guard from 2011 to 2017, which is 6 years – this fits the DEF-1 criteria.

2. You also studied in Maharashtra from Class 1 to 5, which helps support your case.

3. You don’t need to be a Maharashtra domicile to apply under the Defence quota.

Make sure to select Select the DEF-1 category while applying.

Hope it helps !

I have got 80 percentile in mht cet and I want chemical engineering which colleges will i get

Nikita shahi 15th Jul, 2025

Hii,

If you’ve got 80 percentile in MHT CET and you’re looking for Chemical Engineering, then you can consider some decent colleges in Maharashtra if you’re okay with Tier 2 or private colleges. If you're from a reserved category like then you might get a better college with the same percentile. Your admission chances will also depend on your category, home state region like Mumbai, Pune, etc., and whether you want to take admission in private or government colleges. With 80 percentile, here are some colleges where you may get Chemical Engineering based on past cutoffs:

Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), Pune

DY Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi

AISSMS College of Engineering, Pune

Mumbai University-affiliated self-financed colleges

In some government colleges, the cutoff might be slightly higher than 80 percentile, but you can try in later rounds or through state-level counselling.

Also, keep checking the official CAP portal for each round’s cutoff and seat allotment trends, use your college preferences smartly in the choice filling. Keep a mix of moderate and backup colleges so you don’t miss a seat.

is btech cs branch possible through managment or institute quota in vesit chembur with 79.7 percentile in mhtcet

OISHEE BANERJEE 12th Jul, 2025

With a 79.7 percentile in MHT-CET, getting Computer Science at VESIT Chembur through the regular CAP round is very unlikely. The cutoff for CSE in open category is usually around 98 percentile. Even under minority quota, especially for Sindhi students, the cutoff is typically above 90 percentile.

Now, when it comes to institute-level or management quota, there is a small chance. These seats are filled after CAP rounds and may have slightly lower cutoffs, but for high-demand branches like CS, even institute round cutoffs hover around 95 to 97 percentile. With 79.7 percentile, it's still on the lower side.

If you belong to the minority community recognized by the institute, you may have a better shot, but the chances for CSE specifically remain slim even there. Also, institute-level quota usually comes with higher fees compared to CAP seats.

is btech cs branch possible through managment or institute quota in vesit chembur with 79.7 percentile in mhtcet

OISHEE BANERJEE 11th Jul, 2025

With 79.7 percentile in MHT-CET, getting B.Tech CS at VESIT Chembur through management or institute quota is very unlikely. VESIT is a top-tier college, and even for management seats, the demand is high. Typically, students getting CS through institute quota still have percentiles in the mid to high 90s. Even in spot or vacancy rounds, the cutoffs for CS don’t drop drastically. With your percentile, it's better to look at other colleges where the CS cutoff is lower or consider related branches like IT or CS&Engg in mid-tier institutes.

i got 88 percentile in mht cet and belong to ews cateogry want electrical engineering with good coding exposure and good college crowd and modern campus and good placement my few options 1.aissms 2.pvg 3.dit pimpri 4.jspm tathawade confused between this colleges that whar college should i choose cos i also want a good college life

Rupsa Banerjee 27th Jul, 2025

Dear aspirant,

With 88 percentile in MHT CET and EWS category, you're in a decent position. If you're choosing between those colleges you have mentioned then you have to keep in mind-

  • Pvj has a solid academic reputation and disciplined environment but this college is a bit traditional.
  • AISSMS offers decent placements, especially in core and IT sectors, and has a vibrant campus life.
  • DIT Pimpri is more modern and improving fast in placements and coding culture.
  • JSPM Tathawade has good infrastructure but mixed reviews on crowd and placement.

If you value college life+ coding + placements AISSMS or DIT Pimpri might be better picks. Visit the campuses if possible and also check their official websites. See you won't have a good college life if you don't try socializing yourself first, actively take part in all the events and functions and do whatever makes you happy. So even if you like other colleges don't worry about the college life, if you can be active in all the things you will automatically have a fun college life.

Good luck!

hello i got 88 percentile in mht cet and i belong to ews cateogry and i want electrical engineering branch with good coding electives and i also want a good college with good crowd and modern campus so after a lot of research i am stuch in 4 options 1. aissms coe 2.pvg 3.dit pimpri 4.jspm tathwa

Afreen 16th Jul, 2025

Considering your priorities, JSPM Tathawade (Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering) is likely the better choice among your four options. Its modern campus, focus on industry-relevant skills, and good infrastructure for computer-related fields align well with your needs. AISSMS COE is also a solid choice, but JSPM seems to have a slight edge in terms of campus and focus on technology.

However you can go through pros and cons of these universities

JSPM Tathawade (Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering):

Pros: Modern campus, good infrastructure, decent placements, and a focus on industry-relevant skills.

Cons: Can be a bit farther from the city center compared to AISSMS.

Coding Focus: Has a dedicated focus on Computer Science and related fields, which often benefits students interested in coding electives.

PVG (Pune Vidyarthi Griha's College of Engineering):

Pros: Good reputation, strong academic support, and decent placements.

Cons: May not have the same level of modern infrastructure as JSPM.

DIT Pimpri (Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology):

Pros: Good reputation, decent placements, and a decent campus.

Cons: May not be as strong in coding electives as JSPM or AISSMS.

Can I get admission in LOKMANYA tilak municipal medical college as I got 93 percentile in mhcet and 72%in hsc boards ?

Sonakshi Kumari 7th Jul, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Admission to Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College (LTMMC), Mumbai for MBBS is strictly based on your NEET-UG score, not your MHT-CET percentile or HSC percentage. While your 93 percentile in MHT-CET and 72% in HSC are good, they are not considered for medical admissions. To be eligible for MBBS at LTMMC, you must qualify NEET with a high score, as it is one of the top government medical colleges in Maharashtra. Typically, candidates need a NEET rank below 10,000 under the State Quota or below 6,600 under the All India Quota (AIQ) to secure admission. Therefore, your admission chances depend entirely on your NEET performance, not your MHT-CET results.

Good luck with your future academic and career goals.
