hi im totally confused . i get 31k.rank.bio medical engineering seat bc a category

vaibhavi bhalsod 24th Jul, 2024

hello student

I understand your confusion. Getting a rank of 31k for Biomedical Engineering (BE) under BC-A category can make predicting your admission chances a bit tricky. Here's why:

  • Cutoff Ranks Fluctuate: Cut off ranks for colleges change every year depending on the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and the number of available seats.
  • Limited Data: Without access to the latest SJBIT cutoffs for BE (BC-A), it's difficult to say definitively whether your rank will secure you a seat.

However, I can help you navigate this by exploring some possibilities:

Scenario 1: Scoring a Seat at SJBIT

  • Previous Years' Cutoffs: If you can find previous year cutoffs for SJBIT's BE (BC-A) program, you can compare your rank and gauge your chances. Ideally, the cutoff should be lower than your rank for a good possibility of getting a seat.
  • Contact SJBIT Admissions: The most reliable way is to directly contact the SJBIT admissions office. They can provide the latest cutoffs and advise on your chances with your rank.

Scenario 2: Exploring Other Options

If securing a seat at SJBIT seems unlikely, here are some alternative options:

  • Other Colleges: Look for other colleges offering BE (Biomedical) with a good reputation and that accept BC-A category students. You can find a list of colleges through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) website.
  • Second Round of Counseling: Some colleges might have vacant seats after the first round of counseling. You can participate in the second round to see if you qualify for any available seats.

Don't lose hope! There are many good colleges offering BE (Biomedical) and your rank will definitely get you a seat in one of them.

Sir my WBJEE 2024 SC Rank is 11800 but 1st counselling seat allotment latter comes in General Rank. What is the procedure for checking SC Rank.

Abhishek 24th Jul, 2024

Hi there,

Congrats on getting 11800 rank in the wbjee examination.

Getting a seat in the general category in the first round of the counselling shows that while choice filling and filling the registration form you may have wrongly chosen the category as general instead of your preferred quota. This has resulted you in the seat allotment in the wrong category.

To further change the reservation quota during the ongoing counselling is not possible, you can visit the official website of the wbjee and then check the norms and the procedures related to the counselling.

You can visit its website and then check all the details regarding the participation in the counselling and other related issues which will give you a clear idea about what to do next.

Hope this resolves your  query.

is there any seat in semi govt college in Maharashtra through all india quota??

G PAVAN KUMAR 22nd Sep, 2024

yes

In the year 2024, to get admission into a semi-government medical college in Maharashtra for MBBS with 510 marks, it would depend on the cutoff and the competition for that particular year. The admission process and cutoffs can vary annually based on factors like the number of seats available, the total number of applicants, and the overall performance of candidates. Generally, a score of 510 marks would be considered a good score, but the actual eligibility would depend on the final cutoff decided by the admission authorities that year. It's recommended to check the official admission notifications and guidelines closer to the application deadline to understand the exact requirements and selection process.

Although the minimum marks differ across states and colleges based on their seat matrix, reservation policy, previous year trends, etc. However, based on the previous year's data, candidates must score between 400-500 marks out 700 to gain admission to semi government medical colleges in India

i got 402 marks .ST CATEGORY . Can i get A CATEGORY SEAT IN TELANGANA

Deepti Singh 12th Sep, 2024

Hello! Greetings to you!

Following are the factors that would let one deduce whether admission in a Category A seat in a Telangana college is possible or not with 402 marks in the ST category:

1. Cut-Off Marks for Category A Seat

A Seat normally refers to the seats in government or private colleges, which are kept for students selected from the general merit list or for students from particular categories, such as ST, depending on the college/course.

2. Examination Details

Entrance Exams: For scores in an entrance exam, such as JEE Main, NEET, or TS EAMCET, one has to check the cut-off marks for a certain college and branch in which a student from the ST category is looking for admission.

3. Telangana College Specifics

Engineering: In Telangana, the engineering colleges use TS EAMCET as a common entrance exam. The cut-off ranks will vary with college, branch, and category.

Medical: In medical colleges, NEET scores are taken into consideration, and the cut-off is really wide, depending upon the college as well as the state in which the candidate wants to apply.

4. Cutoffs of Previous Year

You will get an idea whether your score may be considered or not by checking the previous year's cut-off marks of ST category students. Usually, cut-offs can be seen on college websites or educational portals.

5. Reservation Policies

Government colleges have reservation policies for various categories. Make sure you confirm the reservation policies in the ST category for Telangana.

Steps to Find Out:

a) Browse Websites of Colleges: Log in to the official sites of your target colleges in Telangana. It is quite common that colleges publish previous year cutoff marks and their admission criteria on their websites.

Contact Admission Offices: The colleges' admission offices should be contacted directly for accurate and updated information on cut-offs and the availability of seats.

Consult Admission Guides and Portals: Take the help of educational portals like Careers360, CollegeDunia, or other such portals for detailed insight and comparisons.

Review State Counseling Information: In the case of Telangana, check the detailed counseling and admission procedure provided by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education.

General Information:

Engineering: Given the fact that you are searching for engineering colleges and 402 marks are from TS EAMCET, compare those with the previous year cut-offs in ST category students for the colleges and branches that interest you.

Medical: Look at the NEET cutoff of ST categories in government medical colleges in Telangana to see if your marks meet the requirement.

Since cut-offs vary every year and depend on the competition and number of applicants, knowing if you have your specific marks is just one part of the picture. Directly contacting the colleges and consulting official resources will give you the most accurate and relevant information.
