Hi If im getting a seat in josaa round 5 and wish to freeze it can i still participate in csab and will i retain this seat if no seat is alloted in csab the seat is of nit+ system

Prachi Kumari 5th Oct, 2024

Hello,

Yes, you can participate in CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) after freezing a seat in JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) Round 5, even if the seat is in the NIT+ system. Here’s how it works:

Freezing the Seat in JoSAA Round 5:
Once you freeze a seat in JoSAA Round 5, you are confirming that you wish to keep this seat. If you later participate in the CSAB Special Rounds and you do not get any better seat through CSAB, you will retain the seat you froze in JoSAA.

Participation in CSAB:
You can participate in the CSAB Special Rounds even if you have already frozen a seat in JoSAA. If you do not get a seat in CSAB, your frozen JoSAA seat remains safe.

Retention of JoSAA Seat if No Seat is Allotted in CSAB:
If you are not allotted any seat in CSAB or choose to reject any offered seat, your JoSAA seat will not be cancelled. You will continue with your frozen seat from JoSAA Round 5.

This allows you to explore better options in CSAB without the risk of losing your existing seat.

Hope it helps !

sir I got 96.80 % in 10th . Can I get free seat in top colleges for polytechnic in Maharashtra. I also belong from general category

Prachi Kumari 5th Oct, 2024

Hello,

To determine if you can get a free seat in top polytechnic colleges in Maharashtra with a score of 96.80% in your 10th grade, here are the key factors to consider:

1. Admission Process
Most polytechnic colleges in Maharashtra offer admission based on the Maharashtra Diploma Technical Education (DTE) process. This involves:

  • Merit List : Your 10th-grade percentage will be used to create a merit list.
  • Counseling : Based on your rank in the merit list, you can choose colleges during the counseling process.

2. Eligibility for Free Seats

  • Free Seats : Government polytechnic colleges typically have a certain number of free or subsidized seats.
  • Category : As you belong to the general category, the competition for free seats may be higher compared to reserved categories (like SC/ST/OBC).

3. Factors Influencing Admission

  • Cut-off Marks : The cut-off marks for free seats vary each year depending on factors like the number of applicants and their performance.
  • Popular Colleges : For top colleges, the cut-offs tend to be higher, and a score of 96.80% is generally competitive.

Hope it helps !

im a bc student got 21335..which course in which clg i got seat

Radhika Goyal 13th Oct, 2024

Hy,

With a BC rank of 21,335 in the Bihar Polytechnic entrance examination, your chances of securing a seat in a government college may be limited. Typically, the cutoff ranks for government polytechnic colleges are quite competitive, especially for popular courses. For example, in previous years, the cutoff for courses like Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering in some government colleges ranged significantly lower than your rank, often below 15,000.

To get a clearer picture, here are some possibilities:

  1. Course Availability : While higher-demand courses might be out of reach, you might still have options in less popular streams or specific colleges. For instance, branches like Information Technology or specialized engineering courses sometimes have higher cutoff ranks.

  2. Government vs. Private Colleges : If you consider private colleges, they often have higher cutoff ranks, which might allow you to secure admission more easily.

  3. Counseling Process : During the counseling process, you can check the availability of seats in various colleges and branches. Keep an eye on updates from the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) regarding specific courses and their closing ranks.

Sir I have got 18082 rank in AP eap cet and iam OC category can I get a seat in nannaya university?

Radhika Goyal 13th Oct, 2024

Hy,

With a rank of 18,082 in the AP EAPCET and being in the OC (Open Category) , it might be challenging to secure a seat at Adikavi Nannaya University. For the 2024 admission cycle, the cutoffs for various engineering branches at Nannaya University indicate that your rank may be above the typical closing ranks for popular programs.

While specific cutoffs can vary by course and year, the closing ranks for engineering programs at Nannaya University have generally been significantly lower than your current rank. For instance, branches like Computer Science and Engineering have had closing ranks around 12,000 in recent years.

You might want to explore other colleges in the SVU region that may have more accommodating cutoffs for your rank. If you're open to applying in the AU region , some colleges there might have different cutoff trends, potentially allowing for a seat based on your rank.

Consider reaching out to the admissions offices of the colleges you're interested in for the most accurate and updated information regarding available seats and cutoffs.

Hello I got 90 percent in 10 class and 78 percent in 12 class and 75.955 percentile in ouat can i get a seat in bsc agriculture cost free seat ?

Ishita 29th Aug, 2024

Hello Aspirant

The eligibility criteria for free seats in B.Sc. Agriculture programs can vary depending on the specific institution and government schemes. However, based on the information you've provided, here's a general assessment:

Factors affecting eligibility:

  • Government Schemes: Many states in India offer free or subsidized seats in agriculture colleges through government schemes. The eligibility criteria for these schemes can vary based on factors like:
    • Family Income: There might be income limits below which students can qualify for free seats.
    • Category: Students from reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC) might have priority for free seats.
    • Domicile: Some schemes might require students to be residents of the particular state.
  • Institutional Policies: Individual institutions may also have their own scholarship schemes or fee concessions. The criteria for these can vary.

Given your good academic record in Class 10 and 12, you have a good chance of being eligible for free seats in B.Sc. Agriculture programs, especially if you belong to a reserved category or if your family income falls below the specified limits. But keep in mind that solely based on your academic performance, your chances of a scholarship is quite low because your marks are slightly above average.

Hope this helps

in which Josaa round does a prep candidate know whether he/she is getting a seat. my ST prep rank is 550. what are my chances of getting a prep course?

Radhika Goyal 13th Oct, 2024

Hy,

In the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling process, candidates typically receive their seat allotment results across several rounds. The seat allotment for the first round is generally announced shortly after the choice-filling period closes, which includes mock allocations to help candidates gauge their chances.

As for your specific case with an ST preparatory rank of 550, your chances of getting a seat in a preparatory course will depend on various factors, including the number of seats available, the number of candidates with higher ranks, and the specific preferences you select during the choice-filling process.

It's essential to monitor the rounds of seat allotment closely. If you are allotted a seat in the first few rounds and choose to accept it, you can either freeze your seat or opt to float or slide, depending on your preferences for future rounds. You will know the outcome of your application in each round, and if you don't receive a seat in the rounds, there is a possibility of getting an offer in subsequent rounds based on the availability and demand.

Make sure to check the JoSAA website for the latest updates and details about your seat allotment status.

in my eamcet seat allotment category pwd is there but iam not handicapped

Tanya Gupta 18th Jul, 2024

Hello,

It seems that there has been an error in your EAMCET seat allotment. The "PWD" category is reserved for candidates with disabilities or handicaps. If you are not handicapped, you should not have been allotted a seat under this category.

Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

1. Contact the EAMCET helpline or support team immediately and report the error.

2. Provide your application number, hall ticket number, and other relevant details to prove that you are not handicapped.

3. Request them to correct the error and allot you a seat in the appropriate category.

4. If necessary, visit the EAMCET counseling center or office in person to resolve the issue.

5. Keep all your documents and certificates ready to prove your eligibility and non-handicapped status.

Remember to act quickly, as the seat allotment process is time-sensitive, and delays might affect your chances of getting a seat in your preferred college.

Hope this helps,

Thank you
