Actually, there is no difference in the fees for the reservation categories. Its the same for all. However, one can get scholarship on the basis of their financial status. One has to fill the form and meet the requirements for getting scholarship. However, there is a subsidy policy- “SARTHAK” NIFT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME for providing financial assistance to meritorious needy and deserving students belonging to the economically weaker sections. Considering the previous year cut off for general category you have chances of getting seat in NIFT, Kolkata in Accessory Design. You do not have chances of getting seat in any other preferred campus or course. Cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

First of all let me aware you with the term fashion designing, so fashion designing is the field of study where we learn about different fashion sense, reacting to different fashion trends and all things in accordance with the fashion trends. Now come on to NIFT, it is an well known institution for such Fashion designing courses with complete name as National Institute of Fashion Technology and it use to conduct NIFT entrance examination to determine the eligibility of candidates for admission to such fashion designing courses. It is conducted every year but this year it was scheduled for April 10th and due to surge in COVID-19 cases it has been cancelled till further notice

BDes shortlisted candidates after the written test can select the preference test centres and exam date for the NIFT 2021 situation test by providing the required credentials. NIFT situation test will be held in April/May. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has open the registration form for NIFT 2021 situation test on March 22. To download the call letter for the NIFT situation test 2021 candidates will have to enter their roll number, the application number, and date of birth. You can go to the official website and book a slot for the second round of NIFT exam.
Yes, you can opt for fashion designing as your program for future studies with a background in English literature but some colleges ask for a bachelor in fashion designing to allow the student to go for master in fashion designing. But there are handful of colleges where this criteria is not followed and hence you can easily apply in such colleges to pursue your dream field.

No, unfortunately you cannot give entrance exam for NIFT online at home, you have to fill the application form for examination, then you will get the admit card for appearance at the examination centre, and you have to give your exam at the alloted examination centre.and that's the only way to give exam.

National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts the NIFT exam to offer admission to the design aspirants in B.Des , B.FTech, M.Des and M.FTech.
Unfortunately NIFT 2021 has already been conducted on February 14 and has released the NIFT 2021 answer key for General Ability Test (GAT) in online mode on February 17.
