There is negative marking in all NIFT Examination papers including B.Des. In GAT Exams, aspirants are awarded one mark for every correct answer and 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer, selected by the candidate.

The B.Des results will be out in the fourth week of May 2020. The official exact date is not yet disclosed. So do stay tuned on the official website to stay updated.

Step 1 - Visit official website of NIFT. ( https://nift.ac.in (https://nift.ac.in/) )
Step 2 - Click on ‘NIFT result 2020’ tab.
Step 3 - Candidates have to enter the following credentials- roll number and date of birth
Step 4 - Click on ‘Submit’ button.
Step 5 - Download the result and take a printout for future reference

The answer key of NiFT 2020 is released and a candidate can download it by entering his/her roll no., Program, question booklet series and date of birth. The results for the NIFT exam 2020 are expected to be released on the dates as follows:
1. NIFT result for B.Des will be announced in the last week of March.
2. NIFT result for fashion Technology will be announced in the first week of march.
The B.Des applicants who have shortlisted for CAT and GAT will have to appear for a situation test as well.
The slot booking procedure will start in the end of March and it will have the centre details as well.
The NIFT 2020 final results will be declared in the third week of May.

Both of the exams are equally rewarding and most of the BTech students give either of them or both of them. To know what you must give or whether you give both or not you must figure out that whether you want to continue your engineering at the graduation and progression level or if you want to change stream and go into the side of business or management. if you are more interested in engineering and want to explore it more then you must go for GATE exam as it is for the admission into to top notch engineering colleges and also for the jobs in Navratan and maharatna companies like IOCL DRDO etc.
Cat on the other hand is for the admission in various management colleges and the top of them are IIMs. These are also important and rewarding as IITs. from them you can pursue a career in management and business.

NIFT will release NIFT 2020 cutoff in May in online mode. The cutoff will be released section and campus-wise post counselling and admission. NIFT cutoff is minimum rank released by the institutions for providing admission in various undergraduate courses in fashion technology and design.

According to your overall rank and based on the previous year cutoff, chances would be less to get a seat in Chennai campus. You can get admission in Patna, Kangra, Kannur, Bhubaneswar campuses.
