is it necessary to attempt uceed entrance exam after getting 70% in 10+2 ?

rehan18alam Student Expert 11th Jun, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

There is no compulsion to give any entrance exam after your 12th irrespective of the percentage you have got. You can chose to give any entrance exam in which you are interested in and you are eligible for. If you are not eligible though, you can  not give the exam whether you are interested or not.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

What are the minimum marks required out of 300 to get into iit

S. Saha Student Expert 7th Jun, 2020
Only a few seats are offered by IITs for admission through UCEED. So undoubtedly the competition is a level higher. You must have to secure a rank within 60, hardly 70 if from general category to get into any of the IITs. For that, you must score above 185+ marks in UCEED. But this is based on previous few years' data. This also depends on the highest score obtained. However, aim to score more than I mentioned to be on safer side.

min marks required for b.des for iit bombay through uceed examination. if am belong to general category??

s.pooh07 9th Jul, 2020

Hi,

The eligibility criteria for B.Des Course in IIT Bombay are:

1. You should have passed in your 12th grade examination which considered as the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQ)

2. Should have qualified UCEED Examination, which is nothing but to obtain a rank in UCEED

So there is no such thing as minimum marks for IIT Bomay for B.Des course.

Although there is cutoff (minimum marks)mentioned for each of the categories:

1. Common rank list: 100 marks

2. OBC-NCL: 90 marks

3. Rest other categories: 50 marks

So the minimum marks would be 100 marks for the general category.

Hope this helps, All the Best!

my daughter scored 131 rank in uceed . will she get iit b .des anywhere .

Anurag Khanna 6th Jul, 2020

Hello Mam,

From UCEED you get chance to get admission into four IITs for course of Design but you should note that there are very few seats for reservation categories like SC, ST and so on and hence there cut-off also goes very high.

With this rank and category your daughter cannot get any of the IIT because according to her reservation category, her category rank should be below 30-40 than only she will have chances to get into IITs.

For more details about UCEED cut-off, refer to the link given below :-

https://design.careers360.com/articles/uceed-cutoff

However you can try for some other colleges with this score like DTU and so on. You should refer to the link given below for list of top colleges accepting UCEED score :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

MY RANK IN GENERAL CATEGORY FOR UCEED EXAM IS 658.CAN I GET ADMISSION IN IIT GUWAHATI OR IIT HYDERABAD ?

S. Saha Student Expert 4th Jul, 2020

There are around 179 seats including all four IITs i.e. IIT Bombay, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Guwahati, among which approx 74 seats are for general category candidates. Now, you have 658 rank and you belong to general category. So it will be difficult to get any of the IITs with this rank. But you can try for other colleges like DTU, UPES etc. https://design.careers360.com/articles/top-colleges-accepting-uceed-score

My daughter cleared UCEED exam with AIR 79 and NIFT exam with AIR 89. We are confused either we go to nift Or to UCEED, can you help us out

S. Saha Student Expert 27th Jun, 2020
Only a few seats are offered through UCEED in IITs. Now if you are from general category, then you can expect only IITDMJ. As other IITB and IIT G close within 45 to 50 rank. Now coming to your NIFT rank, it is extremely good. And with this rank, you can expect top campuses of NIFT Like Mumbai, Bangalore and even New Delhi whatever course you choose as you have extremely good rank. So I would suggest you to go for NIFT as there are better chances for you.

I complete my class 12 in 2019 can I eligible for the 2021 UCEED exam??

Pompi Bhadra 16th Apr, 2020
Hello Ankit!

As per UCEED guidelines of 2020, candidates who have passed the qualifying examination (Class 12th or its equivalent) in 2019, OR appearing in 2020, of all the streams (Science, Commerce, Arts and Humanities) are eligible to appear for UCEED this year, i.e. in 2020. Those who appeared in the qualifying examination for the first time in 2018 or earlier are NOT eligible.
So, most probably you won't be eligible for it in the next year. Although, a change in the guidelines of UCEED 2021 can make you eligible for the exam. But for this, you'll have to wait until 2021 and even, chances are quite low.
