IIT Bombay will conduct UCEED Joint Admission Counselling for the admission of students to the B.Des courses offered by IIT-B, IIT Guwahati, IIITDM and IIT Hyderabad(batch starting this year). Cutoffs, every year,  are decided by taking into account factors like the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the paper, the number of seats available for the candidates and the previous years'  cut-offs to some extent hence no strong conclusion can be drawn until the actual Counselling is done.

According to previous years' opening and closing ranks, your chances in IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur, with this rank, seems very less.

You can apply for other good institutes. These are-

These institutes are going to take candidates for their Undergraduate course based on the UCEED score but will not take part in the joint admission counseling conducted by IIT Bombay. You need to visit their official sites and apply to these institutes directly according to your UCEED score but every institute will have their own admission procedure to be followed for admission.

There are limited seats in IITs and other renowned institutes for B.Des programmes. So your chances in any institute will completely depend on the number of applicants for the institute and their ranks as there exists huge competition among the aspirants in every field.

Nirma University:

With a total of 80 seats with 40seats for B.Des in communication design and 40seats for Industrial design.

CIT, Kokrajhar:

There are 45 seats available only in the first semester. But the number of students to be taken admission for the programme may vary as per the decision of the admission committee of the institute.

Lovely Professional University, Phagwara:

There are a total of 10 seats for B.Des course in Product and Industrial Design.

Delhi Technological University:

A total of 60 seats for UG course in Design from which 85% seats are available for Delhi candidates and 15% seats available for candidates from outside Delhi.

Other institutes considering UCEED score for admission to their B.Des programmes are UPES(Dehradun), VIT University(Vellore), MIT World Peace University(Pune) etc. You can visit their official websites to know more about them.

Your son score isn,t enough to secure seats in IITs or IIIT with UCEED score.His rank is around closing rank of IIT or IIIT elhi.HE may get IIIT delhi under SC category but chance of getting IIT is very low.For sureity wait till IIT or IIIT declares own cuttoff score for each category.

Your rank isn't enough to secure participating colleges under UCEED examination.You need at least 300 rank under OBC quota to secure colleges. Previous year closing rank of IIT Guwahati under OBC quota was 270 , of IIITDM jabalpur was 350 and of IIIT Delhi was 125.This year cuttoff may change littile bit but cuttoff won't change soo much.For sureity concerned body releases cuttoff .
