The last date to complete the seat acceptance fees is May 07, 2026.
The NID follows a clear process for seat allotment when candidates apply for two disciplines. If a candidate gets shortlisted in both disciplines, the institute will allot a seat only in the discipline marked as the first preference. It will offer the second preference seat to the next candidate based on merit, and the candidate cannot claim that second preference seat later.
If a candidate gets shortlisted only in the second preference discipline, the institute will allot a seat in that discipline. In some cases, a candidate may be eligible for both disciplines but get shortlisted only in the second preference. In such situations, the institute will first allot the second preference seat. Later, if a seat becomes available in the first preference discipline, the institute will upgrade the candidate to the first preference based on merit. It will then offer the second preference seat to the next eligible candidate. Candidates can refer to the official website for detailed information.
